Grown man almost brought to tears
I just wanted to give some feedback and tell you about an experience my daughter and I had at the park on August 14th this year.
We love Holiday World.
It is one of the cleanest most family-oriented parks we have been to.
The Six Flags park in St. Louis may have bigger or faster rides but the atmosphere there is NOTHING compared to Holiday World. The only other parks that compare are Silver Dollar City in Branson, and Disney World.
Now, for a moment that almost had a grown man brought to tears in the middle of your park. My daughter is 8 years old and attends a Christian school. We are active in our church and both Christian.
We went to one of the Santa's Storytimes in the little theatre. The story was about two little mice getting ready for Christmas. They kept going through the motions and it never really felt like Christmas to them.
Towards the end of the story, Santa asked the kids what the meaning of Christmas was.
My daughter piped up loudly that it was to celebrate Jesus' birthday.
Santa looked kind of shocked and asked his assistant how long they had been doing that story. She replied that they had been doing it a long time. Santa then asked how many children had come up with the correct answer and the assistant stated that my daughter was the first!
Santa then went on to tell the rest of the story and to tell that the mice had been focusing on decorations and trees instead of the birth of Jesus which is the true reason for Christmas.
My eyes were quite watery when this was over.
Thank you so much for the theme park experience of our lifetime!
Thank you so much for running the best family park in the country.
