You don't have to be a millionaire

I took my family on a weekend trip to Holiday World this Labor Day weekend, and I just had to write and tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves.

We bought tickets for two days and we had a five dollar "send a friend" coupon, which was nice.

I had my 83-year-old Grandmother and my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter with me, as well as my husband and sister. We visited Holiday World Saturday and Splashin Safari Sunday.

Your park is every bit as clean as your commercials say.

Your staff is also deserving of all of the friendliness awards.

The part I really was most impressed by is that you don't have to be a millionaire to enjoy yourself at Holiday World.

My family has always taken our driving vacations "on the cheap." In this day and age, it's easy to feel like everybody is out to get your last dollar.

It meant a great deal to us to feel that we were welcome to bring our own food and that we had a nice picnic area right outside the park provided to us, with restrooms, shade and picnic tables.

On Sunday, we chose to eat our lunch at Splashin Safari, and we were pleasantly surprised that your prices on food are reasonable. Everyone thought the food was delicious.

My Grandmother is recovering from a broken hip. The $5 wheelchair rental fee was the best money we spent all weekend. It was more than reasonable and turned out to be a godsend for her. We were even able to easily lift her onto an inner tube for that little river attraction.. is it Congo River? She really got a kick out of that. She didn't expect to be able to do any of the water park attractions.

I loved the fact that there was so much for my preschooler to enjoy, from the plentiful kiddie rides to all of the areas designed for kids her age in the water park.

I will recommend your park to everyone I know for a wonderful family get away.

Thank you so much and we'll see you next year!
