Care carried on all the day
We just returned (hours ago) from a visit, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you (collectively) for a great day at your park.
I am the youth pastor for a church in a small community near St. Louis.
It has been our tradition to venture each year to Six Flags for a day of good old-fashioned rides and fun. After having many friends recommend Holiday World as a destination for our family (and even though we had never taken their advice), I decided to take a chance and visit for a day inviting the whole youth group.
While some of our youth were hesitant, I have to say, none left disappointed.
Indeed, as the park was closing I was inundated with questions about whether or not we were "going to come back next year." So from the perspective of a group of teenagers, your park is great!
But you see, that's the easy (or perhaps expected) part of running an amusement park.
I am writing you to tell you (all) how utterly and completely impressed we adults were with your staff, facilities, and attractions. The adult mentors on the trip were completely amazed at how mature, courteous, and helpful your staff was to our entire group. Much of this seems lost on the kids, but we definitely took notice.
Down to the person your staff were always helpful, available, (plentiful), and respectful. I mean, they really were! In fact, so much so that I am writing to you now.
From the folks working the gate during our many entrances and exits, to the operators running the rides, to the fantastic young lady who served our dinner in Kringle's Banquet Hall ... they were each and every one fantastic.
Since it was raining as the day began we felt your care (and difference) through the issuing of free rain ponchos, and that care carried on all the day, through to the last gate worker giving us a smile and a "Thanks for visiting us today."
What a great park!
Beyond that, your facilities were clean and well run, and your ride selection was more than adequate. Even other details like your gift shops being fair (in prices) and courteous (in service), an unfortunate rarity these days, caught our attention.
I could go on and on, but I'm sure each of you know better than I what it takes to make your park like so great, so I just wanted to say thanks. And I'll save my going on and on for my family, friends and colleagues.
Please accept this simple note as a HUGE thank you from every person in our group to all your staff, managers and owners: you gave us way more than we expected!
Even though I didn't answer our youth I can tell you that we will definitely be back...and my wife and I have already began to plan that long overdue trip as a family!
Blessings and Thanks,
Bil_
