"I personally loved the pizza"

I wanted to write and tell you what a wonderful park you have. This was our first visit to your park and I do not think it will be our last. I was surprised at how clean the whole park was.

The free soft drinks and free parking were a great bonus. The prices for the food were so reasonable, and the food was VERY good. I personally loved the pizza.

Our son Tristan (5 years) just had a blast, he had fun on the rides but the water park was a HUGE hit. He loves water and getting him to leave was a challenge. The lines were a bit long but they seemed to move a long at a decent pace. I must also say that as a mother it was nice being able to walk around anywhere with my son and not hear the type of language that a 5 year old should not hear.

You should be so proud of your park, you have very friendly staff, everything is so clean, and best of all it truly is a family-friendly place. Oh yes, and having Santa there was the icing on the cake - a visit with Santa topped off our day.

Sincerely,
Yvette L.

Visitors from Alabama

I just wanted to tell you and your staff what a wonderful time my friends and family had this past weekend (July 29th).

Your staff at Holiday World treated our entire group as though we were the only people in the park at each and every stop. From the show performers to the restroom attendant, each employee appeared to really enjoy what they were doing, and they always greeted us with a smile.

Keep up the good work, and we will see you all again next summer!!

Thank you again,

Family time in a hurried-up world

I just wanted to let you know about my family's visit to your park.

First off I want to let you know that I am a college student on a very fixed income so taking my family (my husband and 2 children) on vacation is a strain on our budget.

So, when we decided to take our family to your park we were unsure how much of a strain it would be. We were so surprised by the affordable price and the prices of your food! When we visit Kings Island and other places like that we spend time to go to the store and pack a cooler. We did not do that at your park and we were so glad. Your food was awesome and so cheap! There was plenty of space to sit and eat and the place was so clean!

Thank you so much for the free drinks and sunscreen (even though it rained the entire day! ha ha) Your staff was so nice and great with the kids. I did not see one person unhappy or mean-faced!

Again, I just want to tell you what a great time we had. Like I said above it rained the entire day but in spite of that we had a better time then we have ever had at Kings Island or even Cedar Point! Wow... I cant imagine that I would ever say that.

Thank you for keeping your prices low and making it possible to squeeze a little family time in a hurried-up world!

Comparing parks in two states

My family was able to visit both Holiday World and Six Flags St. Louis this summer since two of my children won a ticket to each.

I would like to say after just visiting both parks, I would love to come back to Holiday World when I can afford the gas again.

Your park was much cleaner, and the staff was much nicer then Six Flags.

I would also like to compliment you on how your staff was able to treat my middle son, who is autistic. Sometimes he is hard to handle, but your staff was able to handle him like a pro.

Overall, I found your park to be a better value as well as more enjoyable and will be glad to recommend you to anyone I come into contact to.

Thank you so much for a very enjoyable day. I look forward for a return visit.

Fantastic ride

My family and I had the opportunity to visit Holiday World yesterday (July 30).

As has been the case in our previous visits over the years, the guest experience was fantastic! We enjoyed all the rides, shows, Splashin' Safari and of course, the food. Two slices of pepperoni pizza (and we're talking big slices) and fries for $5.29 is the best food value I've seen in all of my travels to amusement/theme parks across the country.

I have ridden a few hundred roller coasters, some a few thousand times more than others. There are some great roller coasters out there, but in my opinion, the top three wooden roller coasters on the planet can all be found in one place: Holiday World.

The Voyage was as the people I know who had ridden it advertised: TERRIFIC! I haven't experienced that kind of thrill on a roller coaster since 1979, when I rode The Beast for the first time. Each time I got off The Voyage I couldn't wait to get back in line and do it all over again. Just a fantastic ride! I can say without hesitation it's the best roller coaster I've ever ridden.

Trip report from Pennsylvania

During this past week, my mom and I (from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) met up with my brother's family (from Des Moines, Iowa) and his extended family (from Indianapolis, Indiana) for two days of fun at your park on July 27-28.

I have nothing but good things to say about your park!

I'm a self-proclaimed amusement park enthusiast which probably became embedded in my system while working for four years at Kennywood Park near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 20 years ago.

This was our first trip to Holiday World.

Our group decided that we really enjoyed and sincerely appreciated the following:

FREE DRINKS: Other parks usually charge almost $3 for a drink that is often way too large for what we need. Price gouging at its finest! Your drink stations were plentiful, easy to find (even for the kids in our group ... ages 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9), and had lots of choices, including non-carbonated selections. We found that the kids didn't overdo it once they understood that the drinks would always be available. And no fighting over having to share cups because the drinks were too large for one person! In addition, it seemed to make the lines at refreshment stands move more quickly when the servers did not also have to handle drink orders.

NO SMOKING: Thank you for considering everyone's health, especially the kids'. I have asthma, so I really appreciate this move on your part. Other parks do not allow smoking in queue lines or on the rides. However, I can't count the number of times I have been relaxing on a bench (at another park) when a smoker has sat down and lit up right beside me. I'm sure the smoke-free zones have also helped with park cleanliness. At Kennywood Park, it seems that the "sweeperettes" spend most of their time cleaning up cigarette butts!

CLEANLINESS: When my mom and I first arrived at the park, we were welcomed at the edge of the parking lot by Pat Koch. "Hey, I saw her picture on the website!" I told my mom. Pat was very pleasant and answered our questions about the terrain of the park. (We were deciding whether my mom would need a wheelchair.) We chuckled at her nametag that said "The Queen of Clean." I think you can give that title (or "king") to every one of your employees. They all made a visible effort to keep things sparkling, from wiping up spills and picking up litter in their areas to polishing windows in shops and refreshment stands. Apparently, this rubbed off on the guests because I have never seen so many people cleaning up after themselves in an amusement park! I was especially impressed with the cleanliness in the water park restrooms and changing rooms. That's a lot of drippy people to keep up with!

COURTESY AND OVERALL PLEASANT ATTITUDE: I get the feeling that your employees really like working at the park. They are proud of their park, their jobs and their co-workers. They are able to answer questions about things in the park that may have nothing to do with their jobs. If they couldn't answer a question, they quickly referred us to someone who could. Interactions went beyond just a pleasant hello. I found that the kids in our group learned to return their courtesy. I was proud to hear the kids saying "thank you" to ride attendants each time they left a ride, something they don't normally do in an amusement park with strangers. I also found that we spent a lot of time interacting with other visitors to the park ... the friendliness in your park is contagious!

VARIETY OF RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS: Once again, we found that everyone in our group (ages 3-77) had plenty of rides, shows, foods and activities to keep them happy. I thought my 77-year old mom might get bored sitting in a wheelchair all day, but that was definitely NOT the case. There were several rides she could go on that were gentle enough for her bad back. She enjoyed the doll museum, glassblower and toy display. She really liked the wave pools and the lazy rivers. We managed to try every slide in Splashin' Safari many times. The kids liked any amusement rides that spun or that they could drive. Kiddie rides are nicely mixed in with adult rides so that everyone could keep busy at the same time and not have to spend a lot of time waiting for each other. For example, Grandma took the three youngest kids to the Christmas kiddie rides while the adults and older children rode on The Raven and The Legend. We all got a kick out of the diving show. As for The Voyage, the adults are still trembling! I have ridden a lot of coasters in my life, but I have never experienced such a wild combination of features ... banked turns, speed, direction changes and the best ... a tunnel with dips inside. The element of surprise on our first ride is unmatched in my riding career! I'll be watching the Golden Ticket Awards program to see where The Voyage ranks this year. Good luck!

PRICING: With so many kids in our group, pricing is always an issue when we choose a vacation meeting place. Your general admission price is reasonable, plus, we picked up discount coupons at Ponderosa the night before. We really liked paying only $19 to return for an additional day. We bought a 2-day pass as soon as we got there (although I like the option of buying the second-day ticket before leaving on the first day). Knowing that we had two days to enjoy the park kept us from feeling that we had to hurry up to squeeze in everything we wanted to try. It made for a much more relaxed trip and allowed us to ride our favorites multiple times. I also felt that prices in the refreshment stands and in the gift shops were all very reasonable and family-friendly.

I could probably go on and on about our trip to Holiday World. I picked up plenty of brochures to share with my friends back in Pennsylvania. You have definitely impressed me and I know I will be back for more in the future.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful playspot for families!

Sincerely,
Judy P.

"Refreshing"

I wanted to let you know that my family and I had a great time when we visited your park recently.

We live in middle Tennessee and heard about you on the radio. We flew into Huntingburg Airport and stayed at Santa's Lodge.

It was refreshing to visit a clean and Christian family park. The rides were fun, the staff was friendly, and the food was reasonably priced. We will tell others of your facility and plan on returning in the future.

God bless,

Terrific day

My family visited Holiday World on Friday, July 26.

In addition to your advertised points such as free sunscreen (did not need sunscreen - needed rust inhibitor! (drizzly day)), free parking, and free beverages, we also found the park to be very clean and friendly.

My special notes include that the park is basically non-smoking (a very big GOOD point for me) and the fact that I did not see beer anywhere.

The Voyage is AWESOME - definitely the most out-of-control-feeling coaster on the planet.

Thanks for a terrific day. We will be back!

"No one had a meltdown, myself included"

I just wanted to let you know as a mother of four children under the age of five, I was not looking forward to visiting your park on a Saturday, or any day for that matter---last Saturday we brought the three boys here and it was awesome!

Your staff was friendly and the free drinks were so apprciated. My kids had so much fun and no one had a meltdown, myself included.

Thanks so much for a great time!!!

Sincerely,
Jennifer H.

P.S. As a business owner, I was impressed w/your staff and the fact that the owners took the time to greet people at the park.

Free pop, sunscreen and great employees

We just visited your park this week for two days. We were here last year and had a great time last year so we came back this year.

You still have a top-of-the-line park. The free pop and parking and sunscreen and great employees is what brought us back.

The food is really reasonable; I can take my family here and not have to save a month's wages just to pay for pop and food.

Keeping things reasonable will keep us coming back.

Six Flags and Cedar Point need to take a real good lesson from your park .. you guys should buy their parks and show them how to run them.

It was hot in the 90s when we came there and I didn't hear one bad thing from your employees.

Thanks again for the great vacation.

Son and friends chose Holiday World

I just wanted to drop a quick line to tell you all what a great time we had yesterday.

After years of visiting Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Kings Island and Cedar Point, I honestly thought I had seen and done it all.

Earlier this year I had promised my son and three of his friends a trip to Kings Island if they got good grades, tried hard in baseball and LaCross, and helped around their houses.

Last week they asked me if they could go to Holiday World instead of Kings Island. I had seen all the commercials and honestly thought this would be a smaller, less exciting version of Kings Island.

WOW was I surprised!!! We had a great time!

Everyone at the park was very friendly, helpful and most of all seemed like they actually were having fun.

I especially enjoyed the family atmosphere that is being cultivated at your park and was even more surprised that the cost of eating in the park was very reasonable. (Especially since I was there with three young men who typically eat me out of house and home weekly.)

Thank you so much for offering such a nice place to the people of Indiana and Kentucky!

Warm regards,

Memories that will last a lifetime

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for an exciting and affordable day of good, clean fun!

We rode The Voyage SEVEN times, fed five people for less than $8.00 (no joke - five hot dogs and free drinks!), and thoroughly enjoyed the super-clean atmosphere and friendly staff.

My family and I created memories at Holiday World that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for being more committed to family fun than the bottom line. I hope that you will be richly blessed as a result of having your priorities straight!

Still talking about Voyage ride a week later

My family visited Holiday World & Splashin Safari July 19 and 20; these were two VERY scorching hot days and we spent the whole day at the water park and there was fun for everyone from my four-year-old niece and son, to my 57-year-old mother. When the water park closed we headed over to the rides.

The Voyage is the best roller coaster I have ever ridden and I have been to Kings Island and Cedar Point. I rode with my sister, my seven-year-old niece and my mother, it was so awesome we are still talking about it almost a week later and the wait was actually tolerable.

I had never been to Holiday World before and I was extremely impressed. On Wednesday the 19 it reached into the upper 90s temperature-wise and we were able to keep drinking and staying hydrated without draining our wallets. The staff was very courteous and friendly even through those horrid temperatures.

Thank you for the very family-friendly atmosphere and the prices of the food and gift shop were extremely reasonable not jacked up 1000 percent like some places do. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are already planning our visit for next year.

Thank you for the great vacation experience.

Planning a longer visit for next year

My wife and oldest son and I just returned from a Friday-Saturday vacation at Holiday World and we all wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had! We were impressed with the family-friendly atmosphere, how clean and well-maintained everything was, and the prices were very well within the means of a family's budget (especially with the free drinks)!

We had to stay in Evansville, which allowed for plenty of time for anticipation leading up to our first day since our son had never been and my wife and I hadn't been since it was Santa Claus Land back in the '70s. We got there Friday morning, went right in after buying our well-priced two-day tickets, and went right to Splashin' Safari. The deal with the lockers is genius! $10 rental (we got 2 because we brought so much stuff) and then $7 back after you turn in your key at the end of the day. Great idea!!

We hit the Watubee about four times right off the bat and had no lines whatsoever. Then we did the Wave and the Bahari River, followed by the larger wave pool (I can't remember the name). The burger and fries lunch hit the spot without hitting the wallet all too hard!! It was 1/4 the price of a lunch we had at another national chain theme park! I was -- and am -- in awe! Then, my son and I went down the Jungle Racer, went back to the large wave pool, the other "lazy river" and the AmaZOOM to wind out the day.

At that time, storms were moving in and we called it a day but prepared to return the next day.

On Saturday, we started with Holiday World and all the great rides. Being Saturday, the lines were a little longer but it was still a great time! We ended everything with another trip to Splashin' Safari.

We're already looking forward to next year and making plans for a longer stay.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. We're telling everyone about the wonderful time we had at Holiday World!

A truly special place

Just wanted to say thank you for a great day at Holiday World and Splashin Safari.

I was there on Monday, July 17 with my mother and my two nephews (ages two and five).

We had a great time despite the oppressive heat. Thank goodness you had the water park there or else I think we would have melted!

It was wonderful to see Mrs. Koch near the entrance, greeting guests as they arrived.

What a truly special place you have and what wonderful employees you have as well. Everyone was so polite and helpful.

Have a great season and thanks again for making our day.

Funnest park I've been to

I would just like to inform you that Holiday World really is the cleanest, nicest, and the funnest amusement park I've seriously ever been to.

Some of the things I like most about your park is the free soft drinks, no alcoholic beverages are served, the rides, and most of all Splashin' Safari.

My family and I have been going to Holiday World since I was four years old and now I am thirteen. The reason why we come back every year is that Holiday World is the best park we've been to.

I look forward coming back year after year and I don't think that is going to change very soon.

Thanks again and best wishes to you all,

"I usually will not go into public pools"

My family and I visited your park on Tuesday, July 18, and we were surprised that we were never aware that this park even existed until now.

I am a coaster freak and I must say The Raven, The Legend and The Voyage are three awesome wooden coasters.

The Voyage was probably the best ride I have ever had; my friends and I rode it six times. The sheer magnitude of hills, turns, tunnels and air time is amazing. Thank you for this coaster; I will return.

I build and design swimming pools for a living and usually will not go into a public pool, but the pools at your place are so clean and well-kept that I had to get into the wave pool with my family.

The park is so clean and well-kept and the staff is so friendly that we were astonished that a small-town park could compete and outdo most of the big boys.

We will probably not go back to the big boys and consider you the new big boy on the block.

Thank you for The Voyage

My family and I spent Tuesday and Wednesday of last week at your park.

This was the first time that we had attended your park and felt the need to contact you with praise for the wonderful job that you are doing.

We truly appreciate the cleanliness, friendliness, and the prices of everything from the food and gift shop items, to the free parking and free sodas. We also were given free rain ponchos due to the rain.

I know that you realize it, but a family of four saves a lot by going to your park versus another amusement park.

We will definitely be back and will tell our friends and family of the wonderful time that we had.

We also want to thank you for your coasters and especially Voyage. We have visited about 12-14 amusement parks and all of us now rank Voyage as our number-one wooden coaster!

Thanks so much,

"My husband was determined..."

My family and I were at Holiday World last Friday and Saturday.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a great time.

My husband was determined that he was not going to have fun.

Boy was he surprised.

With the extreme heat my grandchildren, ages two and five, enjoyed the water fountain areas as well as the children's section.

We were impressed with the cleanliness and the friendly employees.

Hats off to your staff for a great family fun place.

Great role models

We just wanted to tell you ALL how much we love your park.

My name is Brent, and I'll introduce my wife Amy, and our children Morgan (age 9) and my son Tyler (age 8). Also there are my in-laws Dan and Gail who wanted to be mentioned in this email.

After another great trip to Holiday World we ALL wanted to take a minute to let you folks know how much we love your park.

We have been coming to Holiday World with Amy's parent's (Dan and Gail) since the kids were 3 and 4. We have always stayed at the campground next door and every year has been a wonderful experience.

You have a park that is in touch with "family fun." Year after year it has been nothing but fun.

Your Holiday World staff has always been "friendly" and "professional."

We have noticed that most of the staff appear to be very "young adults," with a strong sense of pride and all connected to a hard work ethic -- they are ALL great role models for our growing children.

We have NEVER had a bad experience with your park.

Keep up the good work.......we have been from Disney World (Florida) to Kings Island (Ohio).................and by far you folks that are "back home in Indiana" are the absolute best in family fun............KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK............We look forward to many more great years at Holiday World andSplashin' Safari with you!

Sincerely,
Brent, Amy, Morgan, and Tyler B. as well as Dan and Gail L.
Columbus, Indiana

As a side note: Amy and I are both in our 30s.........we both can remember Santa Claus Land................Amy's dad, Dan, can remember Santa Claus Land back when the old post office was the main entrance........................Every year WE all take the "train ride" just as a reminder of the fun we too had as kids at Santa Claus
Land/Holiday World growing up-- it is a changing place!!!!!!!

Above and beyond once again

I just wanted to write and let you know that your park and staff have gone above and beyond once again. We visited the park this past weekend with a family that had not visited Holiday World before. They were amazed by the cleanliness of the park and how, even though the park was rather busy on Saturday, the lines always flowed quickly.

Our group had 4 adults and 7 kids, only 2 of which were tall enough for the bigger rides, but we never had a problem finding things that we all could do. Even when some of us would go ride the roller coasters, the others always had options nearby to pass the time.

Even in the rather oppressive heat and humidity, all the workers were very friendly and helpful. The park was as clean as ever, even with the large crowd. Our guests were amazed to see workers go out of their way to pick up a soda cup that was sitting out of sight behind a wall.

Splashin' Safari was a real big hit with our guests as well. They have had quite a few experiences with another water park over in Cincinatti, which they thought was a really good water park.

That was, until this weekend.

They were very happy to find all the options available for the entire family, from Bahari River to Watubee and ZOOMbabwe. The littlest ones in our group just met the 36" height requirements, so we were able to enjoy most of the waterpark together.

While the bigger kids and adults went on Zinga and Jungle Racer, the other kids worked off the excess energy and cotton candy sugar rush in Jungle Jets.

The Voyage and Gobbler Getaway did not diappoint. On Sunday afternoon, we had the kids dragging us from the exit back into the entrance of Gobbler Getaway. Mrs. Koch gets two thumbs up for insisting on this addition to the park.

Will also gets kudos for The Voyage. The family that we brought likes roller coasters, but they are not enthusiasts like my family. After the first ride everyone said that it was the best coaster they had ever ridden. Each additional ride was met with cheers, screams and laughter. Even my 5-year-old daughter gives it 2 thumbs up, even though she still says Raven is her favorite.

As a testament to your food quality and prices, we decided to eat dinner in the park before leaving for home. When you have a large group with several different tatses, the variety found around the park is great. We were able to get corn dogs, barbecue, Mexican and pizza for everyone without needing to take out a second mortgage, like at some other parks.

In short, you have definitely made an impression and spoiled yet another family with your hospitailty, pricing, cleanliness and rides. After leaving the park, we asked their opinion, and they said that they will be buying season passes for next year for sure.

Thanks once again for a memorable weekend.

Didn't know what to expect

On July 16 my family and I (mom, dad, 5-year-old son, and 7-year-old daughter) made the trip to Santa Claus, Indiana, to enjoy the day not knowing really what to expect.

Our experience was enough that I felt obligated to send this email. Both the children were ecstatic all day by the activities, rides, and shows. My wife and I also had a
great time watching them and felt we received what we paid for and more.

Free parking, the ease of getting something to drink especially on a hot day like it was, not to mention it was free. The water park was exceptional and the environment was completely geared towards the family experience, including the rides which the entire family could ride together.

All in all great experience we will definitely return.

Thank you,

"I don't know how you do it..."

I've never written a comment to you on our visits but decided to do so tonight.

We moved to Evansville four years ago and visit Holiday World four-to-six times each summer.

My teenagers never stop commenting on how great it is to have a park like this so close to home. They always remember the time we visited another park within driving distance and food and drinks were SO expensive that they donÂ’t remember much else about the park!

Anyway, a couple of things that always stand out.

Of course, the free soft drinks. Today was perhaps the hottest day we've seen this summer. If it weren't for the free soft drinks (mostly water today) we would have never made it through the day.

Next, I called yesterday to see if the heavy rains had caused any problems for you. And just like in times past, I spoke to a REAL person; I know this requires extra staff for you, but in this day and age of ring-around automated systems, this is a wonderful customer service.

Finally, I don't know how you do it, but your park really is the cleanest. Keep up the great work.

The young people that work there are great. They are polite and helpful.

The addition of The Voyage this year has been the greatest addition yet!

Thanks for always giving us a fun day!

Care carried on all the day

We just returned (hours ago) from a visit, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you (collectively) for a great day at your park.

I am the youth pastor for a church in a small community near St. Louis.

It has been our tradition to venture each year to Six Flags for a day of good old-fashioned rides and fun. After having many friends recommend Holiday World as a destination for our family (and even though we had never taken their advice), I decided to take a chance and visit for a day inviting the whole youth group.

While some of our youth were hesitant, I have to say, none left disappointed.

Indeed, as the park was closing I was inundated with questions about whether or not we were "going to come back next year." So from the perspective of a group of teenagers, your park is great!

But you see, that's the easy (or perhaps expected) part of running an amusement park.

I am writing you to tell you (all) how utterly and completely impressed we adults were with your staff, facilities, and attractions. The adult mentors on the trip were completely amazed at how mature, courteous, and helpful your staff was to our entire group. Much of this seems lost on the kids, but we definitely took notice.

Down to the person your staff were always helpful, available, (plentiful), and respectful. I mean, they really were! In fact, so much so that I am writing to you now.

From the folks working the gate during our many entrances and exits, to the operators running the rides, to the fantastic young lady who served our dinner in Kringle's Banquet Hall ... they were each and every one fantastic.

Since it was raining as the day began we felt your care (and difference) through the issuing of free rain ponchos, and that care carried on all the day, through to the last gate worker giving us a smile and a "Thanks for visiting us today."

What a great park!

Beyond that, your facilities were clean and well run, and your ride selection was more than adequate. Even other details like your gift shops being fair (in prices) and courteous (in service), an unfortunate rarity these days, caught our attention.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure each of you know better than I what it takes to make your park like so great, so I just wanted to say thanks. And I'll save my going on and on for my family, friends and colleagues.

Please accept this simple note as a HUGE thank you from every person in our group to all your staff, managers and owners: you gave us way more than we expected!

Even though I didn't answer our youth I can tell you that we will definitely be back...and my wife and I have already began to plan that long overdue trip as a family!

Blessings and Thanks,
Bil_

Visitors from Alabama

My family and I visited your park the weekend before July 4.

I wanted to say thanks!

We had a great time and your staff and park were responsible for that. It was well worth our 6+ hour drive. I am sure the day we were there, Saturday, had to be one of the busiest days you had so far. Despite long lines, we still had a great time.

Having young kids, 4 and 1 1/2 there was plenty for us to do. My husband and I love roller coasters and your staff was very accommodating to us. They allowed us to do a parent swap so that both of us could ride and not have to wait twice as long for each to get off the ride.

I also really want to compliment you on the cleanliness of your park. I spent many years working at a water park in south Florida while in high school and college; and as a former supervisor I know how hard it is to achieve that goal.

I saw lots of garbage cans placed in strategic place and people emptying them before they began to smell. I never saw trash on the ground, and every time we went to the restroom it seemed like someone was always cleaning it.

The free parking, free soft drinks, and free sun-screen is just some of the little things that set your park out from others larger and smaller. Please keep up the good work.

My family and I will be back.

Thanks once again,

"Holiday World must really care"

My children and I recently spent a lovely day in your park. We are a family of 8, and I wanted to thank you for several things:

1. Thank you so much for providing quality amusement park and water park attractions in such a CLEAN CLEAN setting. I did not see one speck of trash or junk anywhere. The park was clean enough for a mom!

2. Thank you so much for having very affordable entrance fees. And having the FREE inner tubes was such a blessing. We have gone to water parks where a $2.00 fee per tube is required. The free sunscreen was also such a nice and worthy gesture. We had packed sunscreen so didn't have to use the free stations, but we saw so many who did. These stations were clean and all containers were filled adequately. Such a thoughtful, nice, quality thing to do.

3. Thank you so much for the FREE BEVERAGES. As you can imagine, with six children, we almost always have to limit them to one drink per person (because most parks charge $1.75 + for a drink). We were so thankful that you had the free Pepsi products. The stations were clean and easy to access. The selection was wide and kid friendly. The ice was always full. FREE FREE FREE When the kids asked if they could have "more than one" drink, I was able to tell them that Holiday World must really care about their customers because they were giving up lots of money to provide this luxury for us. The kids figured you must be "people who go to church!"

4. And maybe you are, because the last thing I want to thank you for is the display of the Nativity in the Christmas section. Without fanfare or inappropriate attention, you helped us to remember what Christmas is all about and to show the children.

Overall, Holiday World is one classy joint, and we applaud your efforts.

Keep up the good work.

All the way from Louisiana!

I just wanted to let everyone know that we had visited the park, we are from Louisiana, and had a wonderful time.

The park was very clean, the free drinks and sunscreen is a great idea. We had never been to a park so generous.

We will be definitely making another trip next summer if possible.

Keep up the good work!!

Thanks,

Cherished memories with our kids

My family and I just got back from our first trip to Holiday World!

To describe our experience in one word would be "fantastic"!

My 6-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter have gone on and on about the rides and Splashin' Safari and my husband has gone on and on about the free soft drinks and parking.

I myself love the cleanliness of your park and the family rides with my children.

My daughter, Kayla, loved the Raven. My son, Trevor, loved the Raging Rapids.

Aaron and I purchased the picture of our family riding Frightful Falls!

Thank you for such a great time and helping us create cherished memories with our kids.

We will see you next year!

Fantastic time for three families

I just wanted to write and thank you for the fantastic time my family had at Holiday World recently.

Our group, 13 strong, spent two wonderful days, June 28 and 29, in your park enjoying the rides and water park to no end. We had three families, my own of which there are five, my brother in law's four, and my sister in law's, also four. None of us wanted to leave when it came to the end of our second day.

This was our second trip to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari as a family and I know there will be many more. My twelve year old especially loved the new Voyage roller coaster and I must say myself that it is the BEST wooden coaster that I have ever been on. It is the first roller coaster that I have ever come off of needing to
catch my breath.

Keep up the great work on expanding your park. The free drinks are a godsend and your meal prices are the best around. To prove that point my family (the five of us) stopped at another park which I will not name on our way home just to do some
comparisons and Holiday World wins all comparisons hands down.

What we spent on one lunch at this other park was more than we spent an entire day at Holiday World. We all thank you very much for keeping Holiday World & Splashin' Safari affordable for a family of five to enjoy.

We also love the fact that you have rides for all ages. We had ages ranging from adult to two year olds in our group and there was plenty to do for all of us.

Again thank you so much for a wonderful time and who knows, if I can talk my wife into it we will see you again before the year is over.

Sincerely,

Bob J.

Best. Coaster. Ever.

I just wanted to send a Thank You to you guys.

I just made my first trip out to ride The Voyage.

It is absolutely the best coaster I have ever been on. EVER.

I never imagined that a ride could actually be that good.

From the nonstop airtime to the insane lateral forces and absolutely amazing high-speed ending, this ride never lets up.

As a devoted ACE member who has searched for the perfect ride my whole life, I've finally found it.

Hats off to you and the Gravity Group for providing the world the best coaster it has ever seen!

And plan on seeing me at your park plenty more times this summer, hosting my own "Mini-Marathon"!

Parks compared

My husband and I took our children, ages 4 and 6, on a mini vacation.

A friend of mine recommended Holiday World to us last year and we drove to spend the day at Holiday World and then drove back home when the park closed at 10.

This year, we stayed in one of the family cabins, which was really nice.

The park was very clean and nice. We stayed Friday night 7/6/06 and Saturday 7/7/06.

On Saturday we visited Holiday World and just like the first visit last year, the park was super, super clean. The associates were all very friendly and helpful. They seem to really enjoy "family" and enjoy people.

I am impressed with the entire visit to Holiday World. The park was super clean, the food was reasonably priced and of good quality for the money. Of course the free pop was nice, too. The pool water was crystal clear and didn't have a bad odor either.

We had recently visited Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, and that place is a dump compared to Holiday World. Their pool was not crystal clear but very cloudy and hadalot of dirt in it and had a "pee odor." This was at the beginning of the day too. Their food is way, way too expensive and now my family mainly visits them for the rides and pack our food and go back to the car to eat due to their prices.

To give you an example, they wanted $8.00 for a soybean burger, $6.50 for a funnel cake, $3.50-$7.00 for a soft drink. How can a family afford this after paying admission, too? Maybe someone from Kings Island needs to visit Holiday World and get an idea how a real amusement park should be. They need to take note on how clean your pool water and the over all Holiday World Park is and apply that knowledge at Kings Island. Plus they charge $10.00 to park! Now how in the world would you get up there without having to pay to park? $10.00 is steep.

Holiday World is great, Kings Island has issues.

Well, thank you for allowing me and my family have fun, not feel like we need to take a loan out to pay for admission, food, games, everything. Surely the money that Kings Island charges, they can afford to keep up with their park much, much better and the bottom line is they are way over-priced on "everything" and Holiday World is reasonable.

Thank you so much for having such a beautiful park and campgrounds and for allowing folks to feel they can enjoy themselves without feeling they are being over-priced.

Holiday World..................YOU'RE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!

See ya next year !

Well done!

My family and I visited your park last Friday. We all had such a nice time. I can't think of anything that wasn't pleasurable about your park.

Friendly people, good food and fair prices. When something is done well, I like to tell someone.

Thanks again,

Reasonable prices appreciated

We just wanted to express our thanks for a great weekend.

We appreciate the moderate prices, cleanliness of the park, free parking and drinks, friendliness of all your employees.

The weekend prior, we attended Six Flags in St. Louis. It cost our family of 4 over $45 to eat hotdogs and fries and small drinks.

We really appreciate the reasonable cost of everything in your park.

We also had a blast!

Thanks again for focusing on the family and making vacations affordable.

Sincerely,
Tracey M.

Family visit from Arizona

I am writing you,to let you know I had family here from Arizona,(my two older sisters and my nephew), and my other sister (from Jasper) and I (from Huntingburg) took them to Holiday World

I just wanted you to know they had the BEST time!!

They have been to many other amusement parks, Disneyland etc.. and they said Holiday World was the friendliest, cleanest and funnest.

My nephew and I loved The Voyage roller coaster, we both agreed that was the best roller coaster we have ever been on!(After riding it we talked about it for 2 days nonstop, no joke!!)

He told his mom he would like to fly out here next year so he could ride The Voyage again!!

Thank you, Holiday World, for all the fun memories my family can take back to Arizona with them, and making my sister and I very proud of our area!!!

Thanks again,

Worth it

My name Is Brandi, and my husband, four-year-old son, and I visited you park right before June.

I just wanted you to know your park was the cleanest I have ever been to. The same with the bathrooms, and you employees were very helpful in getting us where we needed to get to. The bathrooms were easy to find, the drink stations were easy to find, and you prices were great.

My Husband and I recently visited Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and it was dirty and nasty garbage everywhere, couldn't find the bathrooms even using the maps, prices were similar to yours, but we had to pay $5 to park and food and drinks were ridiculous.

I have told all of our family and friends if they are planning a theme/water park trip yours is worth it. We live near Nashville, Tennessee, and it took us maybe two hours, with stopping for breakfast 2 1/2 hours.

We plan to visit again in the next month with friends and family.

Thank you for having such an enjoyable park.

High praise from a 7-year-old

I would like to thank all of you for what was the best experience we have ever had in an amusement park.

I have been to Disneyland, Six Flags, practically every park in the States, and you have the cleanest, nicest, most beautiful park I have ever seen.

The rides were fantastic, the staff was courteous and polite, the grounds were immaculate, and the food was great and reasonably priced.

I will be telling everyone I know to head your way, and as soon as we can afford another trip, we WILL be coming back.

My children absolutely loved your park. They said it was better than Disneyland.

That is high praise coming from a 7-year-old.

Please do not change a thing,

In love with Santa

On June 23, our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter was visiting from Florida.

We brought her to Holiday World to see Santa--she is infatuated with Santa right now.

We want you to know how nice he was to her!! She could have just stood and held his hand all day and been content. It was very sweet and we took a lot of pix!! Then we went to hear him read stories to the children and she was just enthralled!!

She did finally ride some of the rides---canoes, carousel, fish, airplanes and jumped in the balls.

That little thing was so tired, she was asleep with in 5 minutes of leaving the park!!

We all had a great time---nice clean park, very friendly people, great Santa.

Thank you!!

"The best day of my whole life"

I just want to thank you for a wonderful day at your park.

I was able to take five of my 13 grandkids, and they had such a great time. My youngest grandson said, "This is the best day of my whole life."

His mom took him on your new roller coaster and it scared him to death, but by the end of the day he was bragging about how he rode the biggest, tallest, and fastest coaster there. We all really enjoyed floating down the lazy river and the kids rode every ride there. The unlimited soft drinks was a big hit with the kids and we couldn't get over how clean the park was.

I hope that before the summer is over I can bring some of my other grandkids but, with the gas prices the way they are we might have to wait until next year.

Thank you again for a great time.
