Grandma's girls

Just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the "gem" called Holiday World.

I am not sure if people realize how very lucky we are to have such a wonderful park right here "in our backyard."

We have family from California, Texas, and New York. While visiting famiy we often go to various parks and museums. Every time I am amazed at how these places can not even compare to Holiday World.

The best comparison yet was just this summer. We went to Galveston to visit family. We had been hearing nothing but praise for the newest Schlitterbahn that had recently opened in Galveston.

Our girls would say, "Is it going to be as fun as Holiday World?"

And grandma would say, "Oh honey - you haven't seen a water park until you've been to Schlitterbahn!"

So off we went to Schlitterbahn. I could almost immediately see the looks on the girls' faces.

It just didn't compare. It was set up poorly. There was a lot of trash everywhere. The employees were not kind. They didn't have as many water rides. The kiddie area didn't compare - nor did the wave area. And let's not forget - NO FREE DRINKS!

The girls told their grandma that they liked Holiday World better and I'm sure she thought they didn't know what they were talking about.

So this letter was long overdue. I really should have sent it long ago. You have a wonderful park and it is a wonderful service to our entire area! Keep up the good work!!
