Already planning next year's trip

This was our first visit to Holiday World. Our kids are 5 and 3 years old. It was a very pleasant experience with very reasonable prices.

You run a great park with friendly staff and very clean.

We are already planning next year's trip, cannot wait. Thank you for a good time.

Remarkable and memorable

For Christmas the past two years, my mom and dad have given the entire family a weekend getaway package to Lake Rudolph. This package has included 5 cabin rentals for three nights to accommodate the entire G. crew, which isn't a small task.

So for the past two years, Mom and Dad, 6 children and their spouses, 26 grandkids, 3 great-grandkids, and two grandchildren's spouses (and a few boy/girlfriends) have made the trip to your neck of the woods.

Each of the past two summers we have also included a trip to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari as part of our vacation. Both trips have been remarkable, and memorable, to say the least.

Please extend our gratitude to you and your entire staff for making our trips a great family experience. Your friendly staff, clean park, and exciting rides will keep us coming back.

We also end our trip with a Saturday evening or Sunday morning mass at St. Nicholas church. So I guess its true that a family that plays (or is that prays) together, stays together.

Thanks again,
Terry G. (child # 4)

"The ads tell the truth..."

We just visited Holiday World on Father's Day and had so much fun we purchased a ticket for the next day.

The ads tell the truth.

Holiday World is very family-oriented and the friendliest park we have ever been to.

My family and I will visit again. We have a travel trailer and camped at Lake Rudolph and used the bus at the campground to get back and forth.

I think the most unforgettable moment was on Father's Day when Pat was greeting everyone walking in. One thing we also saw as we were walking around in the amusement area is a young man was walking around having to hold his pants up but his boxers were showing and Pat told him he could not wear this clothing in the park area that way. That is when my husband and I decided this is the park for our family.

We are a very conservative family and really enjoyed Holiday World. The food prices were very affordable and I love that the drinks are included in the ticket price.

Thanks for making our camping trip a success!

Sincerely,
Greg, Lesa and Matthew B.

A class of its own

We just returned from another visit to your park and just wanted to thank you for another fantastic time.

Holiday World is in a class of its own.

No other park that I have ever been to is as friendly to families. The things that are free and available at low rates is just fantastic.

Kudos to the ownership of Holiday World for offering so many attractions, offering two great parks for one price, continuing to add rides/attractions and all of this without causing huge increases in admissions, allowing nature to be included as part of the park and still providing free drinks and parking.

You know, another thing that I appreciate is the announcements warning of inclement weather approaching and keeping visitors updated and aware of happenings regarding start up/shutdown of rides/attractions. Other parks you get what you get, period.

So thank you for a good time and we'll see you again next year.

Sincerely,
Scott K.

I used to work at Walt Disney World

My name is Kathy J. and every year my mother-in-law brings all of her sons and their families to your amazing park!

We just returned from a vacation in Gatlinburg, where we went to Dollywood Splash park and boy did we miss Holiday World! The food prices were outrageous; I spent $9.00 for just one hot dog and nachos, and NO drink! We paid around $6 to park, and they weren't near as CLEAN as yours! Also, the park attendants weren't near as FRIENDLY!

I personally used to work at Walt Disney World and find your park very much equivalent, disregarding the size. Dollywood's Splash park didn't seem to have near as many attractions. We didn't even bother going to the other Dollywood park, since it cost so much just for the splash park.

I just want to congratulate you and your founder and each and every one of your employees on such a FINE establishment.

WE LOVE YOU!

We will be coming down August 1-3 for our annual reunion. You've been part of our family's memories for 8 years straight!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two thumbs up!

I just wanted to tell you that we visited your park for the first time on 6/18/07, and we had a great time.

We have been to several amusement/water parks in the country and we were very impressed with Holiday World.

It was very clean and the people were very nice (even the girl that fell in the water to help my daughter get out of the bumper boats).

I was very impressed and happy to have the free drinks all day. Most parks charge too much for drinks. We always end up very dehydrated. It was nice to have a Pepsi Oasis around every corner when we were thirsty.

I was also impressed that you give out free ponchos when it is raining. We were able to keep our clothes dry during the morning rain. Overall, we would give two thumbs up to your park. We will definitely return in the future and also recommend your park to our friends and family.

Thanks so much,
Kevin, Chelsea & Katie C.

Grandma rode the coaster!

We visited your park on June 7, 2007 and had a wonderful time.

My little boy is 5, I'm 49, and my mother is 74, and we really enjoyed ourselves.

My mom is afraid of water but loved the Watubee, the 2 wave pools and the lazy river.

We can't wait to come back next year. I wish we lived closer. Thank you for the free soft drinks, water and sunscreen. Keep up the good work.

Not only did we enjoy the water park, but the rest of the park too. My mom even rode the little roller coaster with my son. I've never in all my life seen her ride rides and get in the water as she did that day.

Thanks again for the wonderful time and having such a clean park.

Great, fun and safe day

My family visited Holiday World yesterday on 6/21. It was the first time our 12 year old son had been and he loved it!

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the park and the friendliness of your employees.

I didn't feel scared to let my son and his friends go through the water park. Most of all, we enjoyed Splashin' Safari. It was awesome! The Bahari was wonderful--the water was clean and the lifeguards were very impressive. Please let them know what a great job they do!

We are thinking about getting Season Passes for next year!

Thanks again for a great, fun and safe day!

"I totally underestimated your park"

I would like to comment on a recent visit I made to your park with my family on Wednesday, 6/20/07.

I consider myself a theme park and roller coaster fanatic and have never visited your park until this time.

I live in Lebanon, Tennessee, and have heard about your park for several years now but have always put it on the low end of the list of parks to visit but I will NEVER make that mistake again.

I totally underestimated your park.

After visiting all the Six Flags, Paramount Parks, Cedar Fair Parks, etc., I found yours to be the absolute BEST!

You may not have the biggest collection of coasters on the planet but the ones you do have totally make up for it. Your pricing is absolutely fabulous. It's great to know that there is a theme park out there that is not robbing everyone of their money after they have paid to come in.

I worked for six years at Opryland Themepark up until it closed it 1997 and know a little something about hospitality in the theme park business and your staff at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari totally excelled. They were all friendly and knowledgeable and the park was SO clean.

All I can say is thank you to the Koch family on what they have done. This was my first trip to your park but you can bet it is the first of many.

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Ricky B.

An annual tradition

We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for a wonderful time with our family.

We just spent Thursday, June 14, and Friday, June 15, at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari with our church.

We have two sons, age 7 and 11 months, and both had a wonderful time. Every employee was so friendly and helpful, we love the free drinks and the park is so clean and cheerful.

This is our 3rd visit to the park and has become an annual tradition with our church (Fairview Baptist).

We can't say enough about how much we love the park, as well as, the wonderful town!

Thanks again,

We can't wait to come again

We just returned home to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from a two-day visit to your park. And we just wanted to tell you what a wonderful park you have and what a great time our family had.

We have 2 children, 7 and 10, and they just love roller coasters. The Voyage was awesome, they thought.

We love the free soft drinks and the friendliness of all your employees. We can't wait to come again.

"We should have gone to Holiday World"

You know how they say you never miss something until you don't have it?

Well truer words were never spoken and my family's last 4 days just proved it to me.

For at least the last 4 years we have made the trip to Holiday World during the month of June. Sometimes we stayed in Santa's Lodge and a couple of times we reserved a cabin in the campground. Well this year we decided, on the advice of friends, to try Cedar Point. And that is where the "vacation from hell," as my sister and I like to refer to it, began.

So we finally get there, long story there, and we start our first day in the park. Starting with the very first person we saw that day...no one was friendly. The ticket taker was probably the most unfriendly person we saw all day. When we got past her were there any maps of the park...NO! So we spent the first 30 minutes trying to figure out which way were going and where the roller coasters my nieces wanted to ride started. During that 30 minutes we finally found a map...did we have to buy a map of the park...YES!

We stopped any number of people, who worked for the park, to ask directions to the different coasters and none of them really seemed to know anything outside of what they were responsible for. Cedar Point has "police" walking around the park. We asked them questions as we went along that first day...they never talked....they just nodded their heads or pointed.

I don't know if you know this or not but Cedar Point has 17 roller coasters all of them crammed into 1 park. I don't do coasters but my sister does. She told me after her first 2 rides that the coasters seemed slow to her and she really didn't get the thrill like she does on The Raven.

My nieces soon found out what it was like to stand in a line for 2 hours ... now that was a sight!

My sister and I split apart from my nieces and we rode the Ferris wheel ... now I know this isn't supposed to be the most thrilling ride in any park but geez ... it never felt like we really got going it was VERY slow. After this my sister and I had to BUY our soft drinks ... man oh man did we miss the Oasis that is on every corner at Holiday World ... $7 dollars later we had 2 medium Sprites!

When we found food ... 4 of us got to eat hamburgers and hot dogs for the low, low price of $47 ... can I just say the cheese wasn't melted and the burger didn't even cover the bun!

We sat down on a wall to eat, out of the sun, and a park worker started sweeping right under our feet! That is when my sister and looked at each other and said, "We should have gone to Holiday World."

All in all we had a really bad vacation both in the park and in the hotel. We never had a meal that cost less than $30 the entire 3 1/2 days were there ... we came home a day earlier than we planned.

We are using this extra day to plan a trip to Holiday World. Unfortunately we probably won't be able to get there until sometime in September ... but we'll be there!

I just wanted to let you know ... YES you do have the cleanest park ... YES you are the friendliest park ... YES the free soft drinks are important ... and YES all of that adds up to a great vacation and money well spent.

Respect, friendliness and kindness

We just left Holiday World, this was our 12th year, and I reflect on why we go there and why we have so much fun.

Of course it really is the #1 place for family fun. But, why? The rides are awesome, but what else?

I think I know. It is because it is one of the few places where you can go that you can expect respect, friendliness, and kindness. This is a place where you can expect NO foul language and disgusting behavior. It is like when everyone steps through the gates, everyone knows that they are supposed to behave.

This is the only place where I know of that people make an effort to pick up their trash, and everyone walks around with a smile on their faces. And, even parents are running to get to a ride before it starts up without feeling foolish!

It is refreshing to see a place where, in this jaded world, there is values, moral values. And, I believe that deep down inside, people really want this. And, you provide this.

So, I hope, in the future, when we enter our 20th year to Holiday World, that this never changes. Because, while you have fantastic rides, in this sometimes scary world, people know that they can still have one place where they can go and truly enjoy themselves, and really relax and know they can be treated with the dignity that
they deserve.

Thank you, and God Bless.

It always amazes me...

Wow! It always amazes me what a great time it is to go to Holiday World.

We were there Sunday and Monday and had THE best time!

My son, who turns 6 on Friday, was so excited because this year he was BIG enough to do the roller coasters and other big kid rides!

My daughter, age 2, was thrilled about all of the rides that were just her size!

My husband and myself are still commenting on how clean, safe, and affordable the parks are!

This was the first time we have gone into Splashin' Safari and WOW!!!!! We LOVED it!

You really know how to please an entire family! We are already planning next year's trip!

Thanks again!

Absolute cleanliness

What an enjoyable day!

We attended the park on Tuesday June 5th. We were most impressed by the genuine friendliness of all the park staff members. It was a pleasure to bring our 2 1/2-year-old
granddaughter to the rides, the train, the playground, and the attractions.

I loved the attention given to ensuring that small children were securely fastened in every ride. The food was plentiful and very reasonably priced as compared to other theme parks we have attended.

What really struck us as we arrived though, was the absolute cleanliness of the park. WOW!

If you ask me what could be added, I would respectfully request more rides for small children. The old time cars were a real hit and I wished there were some more rides like that. My granddaughter laughed from the time she got into those cars until she exited.

The trip was wonderful and very memorable for our family.

Thanks so much!

We know we'll have a great time

Just returned from taking my grandchildren to Kings Island.

I remarked to my daughter that the staff there sure needs to take lessons from you. They all seemed totally bored with their jobs. They weren't helpful at all helping the little ones on and off the rides. Not many smiles there!

Thanks for keeping your prices so reasonable and being so friendly. We'll be coming to Santa Claus (sorry, Holiday World) later this month. We know we're going to have a great time.

Other park's food prices were painful

I just want to thank you for having such a wonderful park and all you do for the community.

I realized what a blessing you are this past spring break. We drove down to visit my husband's parents in Florida and one of the days we went to Sea World as our 'big' vacation attraction. My in-laws bought the tickets for all of us (we have 6 kids) and spent almost $500.00. Ouch! There was no way we could have afforded that. I wasn't that impressed with what I saw for what it cost. Then, when we went to eat lunch in the park and my jaw hit the ground. $6.00 for a plain hot dog, $1.75 for a small bag of chips and $2.99 for a soda! I didn't even order food for myself, I just decided to eat my kids scraps and we made them share drinks.

I couldn't even enjoy myself for feeling like the park was robbing us. We wound up leaving early because we didn't want to pay to eat supper in the park. It was ridiculous.

It made me realize how lucky we are to have such a nice, clean, friendly park in our area that is affordable too.

I thank you also for the generosity you show to the community. I know you sponsor special events to help the disabled and as fund-raisers for great causes. I know when my father ran The Outpost camp down the road from you that you were always kind and generous in you dealings with him. My older children love that they get to go to Holiday World at the end of the school year with the servers from church. They are excited this year because we are going to go as family this summer.

I was looking at the food prices on your website and I'm glad to know that I will be able to afford to let my kids stay at the park the whole day and not leave before supper time!

You are good people and you do the community a great service by providing such a wonderful park.

Thank you!!!!

"I'm as excited as the kids"

I must say after looking over the website, I am as excited as the kids to see what's new at Holiday World.

Having moved to south Alabama 3 years ago from the Evansville area, Holiday World has been sadly missed by my family.

We decided this year to travel to Indiana just to visit Holiday World.....and maybe a couple of friends.

We have been to many water parks around the country and nothing compares to Holiday World.

My kids--now 12, 9, and 3--chose Holiday World over Disneyworld.

I wish we had only done it last year when gas wasn't so outrageous! When we lived in the area we would visit twice each summer. I always thought it was such a great deal to get both parks and your drinks included. I notice ticket prices are up from the last time we were there, but still a deal!

Thanks for the great family-focused park!
