Everything your website says is true

This past weekend, we spent at Holiday World. It completely exceeded our expectations in every aspect. We wanted to do something for a quick, weekend, budget-friendly vacation. I don’t think we could have picked a better place.

Everything your website says is true. Pat REALLY is walking around. She helped us on the Scarecrow Scambler, and then we saw her again on Sunday in Splashin’ Safari. She obviously cares about the park, and the families visiting.

I also now know why you are the cleanest park. If there was a cup anywhere, it was picked up immediately.

I was also amazed at how reasonable everything was priced. I figured with the free soft drinks, food would be outrageous. Nope, not even close. In fact, our family of 4 had lunch at the Goblin Burgers for a total of $15. I pay more then that at a fast food place.

The free sunscreen was also a wonderful thing. Me and my little girl are both redheads with extremely fair skin.

The different area were so much fun. The kids trying to decide which holiday they wanted to be in. The dive show was AMAZING. My 6 year old says that is her favorite part. She also liked to sing along with the shows.

It seems two days was not nearly enough. We are hoping to go again one more time before it closes for the season, but either way ... we already have plans for Memorial Weekend and Holiday World.

It was simply great to be a kid again ... and most importantly to watch my kids have a blast. I guess being a parent, there is nothing that can beat that.

Many thanks to the entire staff for a fun-filled weekend.

As good, and even better

My family and I visited your park this summer for the fourth year in a row.

It was as good as it has been and even better. I have always thought your food prices were good but this time when I ordered a couple combo meal I was asked, "What kind of cookies we would like?" I asked how much they cost and was surprised to find they were included in the price.

I was amazed.

My family can't even get fast food this reasonable. Thanks for letting us get baked potatoes instead of fries.

Free drinks great idea! Dress code great idea!

The water park is probably the best in the nation! Keep up the good work and we will see you next summer.

Thanking Mrs. Koch

As a child, I remember coming to Santa Claus Land. It was the most family fun a child could have and truly enjoy. Santa Claus Land has grown so much over the years and you have always kept the personal touch of family and "good clean fun."

Now that I am married with 6 children of my own, we make it a point to go to Santa Claus Land (Holiday World) each year.

One more note, every time I have been there, I want to say that Mrs. Koch has always greeted me at some point during my stay at the park. I know she would not remember me specifically, but I thank her every year for "wonderful family fun."

This year, I am bringing a total of 17 with me for a visit this Saturday. I will as in the past years, look forward to thanking Mrs. Koch for a wonderful place to enjoy with the family.

Thank You!

Big mistake!

I would like to tell you that my family enjoys your park very much.

I have two little girls and they can't get enough of your water park. It is a place we can go that is safe, clean, and truly fun for us four.

We live in Southern Illinois and your park is about two hours away. We have grown to love your park, and we haven't visited any other parks in years.

About a month ago we received some discount tickets ($22.50 each) to Six Flags in St. Louis, so we decided to go for the day. Big mistake!!!!! It ended up costing us more for me and my wife to go there, than for us to go to your park whole family. We had to pay for so many things inside the park I couldn't enjoy myself. We went on a Thursday and the lines were long, the park was not kept up, just not the same.

I would just like to compliment you and your staff and say keep up the good work!!

Favorite park of them all

I took my wife, son, and sister-in-law to Splashin’ Safari for the first time, yesterday.

I’ve lived near Louisville for over 5 years and I can’t believe that I waited so long to come try your park.

After spending nearly 21 years in the Air Force, I’ve been to amusement parks from the Gulf to the Great Lakes, from Ohio to California, and many in between; but, you are my FAVORITE AMUSEMENT PARK of them all.

You’ve got everything a person could ask for: Excellent rides; clean, family-friendly environment; courteous ride attendants; free pop and sunscreen; an intelligent logistical layout with convenient access to an adequate number of restrooms; and reasonable food prices.

Please don’t change a thing ... I plan to get season passes next year, and I’ve already begun spreading the word to my friends and co-workers.

Thanks for providing an outstanding facility!

A new, loyal patron!

Glad I made the drive from Louisville

This past Saturday, August 18, was my first visit to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari.

I loved it.

We all had a great time. We took your advice and came early in the day and it was worth it.

I appreciate all the free drinks and the low, low prices on the food. For me and my child I only spent $25 and that included games.

I am from Louisville, Kentucky, and sure I could have gone to Kentucky Kingdom, but I am glad that I made the short drive to Santa Claus, Indiana.

Believe me, we will be back.

Keep up the good work and I hope to see you next year.

P.S. It was neat to have Pat Koch to meet us at the gate. Exciting!!

Help with a lost child

We returned Friday 8/17 from spending three days (Tuesday through Thursday) at Holiday World and would like to say we were very happy with our trip.

The free parking, reasonable food prices, and of course the free soft drinks and sunscreen were a big plus.

The thing that really impressed me was the fact that each time we encountered a park employee, they were always very pleasant. Our little boy who is seven got separated from us in a store near the entry and he went to a young lady who worked there and I spied him crying and talking with her. We were only separated from him for about 5 minutes, but to a kid that is an eternity. Later, on our way out she came over to him and said, "Hi Nathan, I hope you are feeling better now" and gave him a big smile.

The fact that Mrs. Koch was out front greeting guests each day in that terrible heat was also very impressive.

I have been to theme parks all over the U.S. and have never before felt compelled to write a thank-you note. We wish you many years of continued success.

We will likely return again on our summer vacation if not next year then perhaps the year after.

We could not have been happier

My husband and 3 children (ages 9, 7 and 4) visited your park on Sunday & Monday, August 12-13. We live in Northern Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati.

We had a wonderful time.

Because of the extreme heat, we spent most of our time at Splashin' Safari. We could not have been happier with our experience.

Your park is the nicest theme park we have ever visited (keep in mind we live a short distance from Kings Island).

The prices were so affordable for a family of 5 like ours. The park was so clean and well-maintained. I was so impressed with the friendly courteous staff and the cleanliness of the restrooms. Most times I was at the restroom a staff member was in there cleaning.

The food in the park was very affordable and tasty. I grabbed several brochures on my way out of the park and have passed them on to friends and co-workers and have told everyone I've talked to of our wonderful time at Holiday World!

We definitely plan to be back.

Thanks so much for providing great family fun at an affordable price in such a safe, clean environment! Santa Claus was so nice and friendly. My children were thrilled and surprised to see him and visit with him in August!

I didn't feel ripped off at every turn

I visited your park last week with my children and grandchildren and felt I needed to write and tell you how much we all enjoyed it.

The grandchildren range from 9 months old to 14 years. There was plenty for all to do. The place was clean, the employees great, and the selection of rides and activities accommodated all ages. The selection of water park options was the best I've seen anywhere.

Thank you for keeping a place like this affordable. The food was good and fairly priced. Due to the high heat, we especially appreciated your policy respecting drinks.

This is probably the first time I've been to a theme park where I didn't feel like I was being ripped off at every turn. Please keep up the good work. We'll be back.

Very truly yours,
Robert J.

We will definitely return

I must write to you and tell you what a good time my family and I had at your park.

My wife and I had been to Six Flags in Missouri and I don't think we will go back.

Our one day at your park has been a quite memorable time with our daughter. We all found all your rides enjoyable and quite fun! All the workers were more than nice and hospitable. Along with the cleanliness of your park was amazing.

You have certainly gained a family that will definitely return!

My hat's off to the staff

Thank you so much for the friendly, professional, fun atmosphere of Holiday World.

We recently took a trip to Virginia Beach and we visited another water park. Upon our return to Indianapolis, we altered our plans a little bit so that our last day of vacation was spent at Holiday World (instead of driving).

We love everything about Holiday World and we found ourselves comparing it to the other place while waiting for each slide---we decided that Holiday World came out on top in almost every category! Free beverages, reasonable food prices, affordable ticket prices--to both parks: Holiday World AND Splashin' Safari, memorable, unique water slides, clean grounds, bathrooms, etc., ... everything is amazing!

We Love It!

One last thing: thank you so much for the friendliness of your staff. Every attendant was patient, friendly, kind and helpful. It's obvious that you've trained them well.

My hat's off to the management and staff and keep up the great work!

Friendly, even in the heat

Just wanted to let someone know about the fantastic time that we had this past week on our family vacation to Holiday World. Even with the HOT temperatures everyone we came into contact with was so friendly and helpful.

It was nice to see for a change even with (again) the hot temperatures and crowds of people everyone was still friendly and wanted to help and also be at work (even the younger workers) and this I believe is the way that the management treats them and works with them as well.

We were there last week on two different days and saw Mrs. Koch both days at different locations talking to and helping the employees and laughing with them. It was so nice to see this and you didn't know what or where she was going to be next.

Also I spoke to a couple employees to comment on how nice it was to see people who really seemed to want to be at work and enjoyed what they were doing and they both said that it was in part to how they where treated so nice by everyone that it made them want to do a good job and be there. That really says something for your organization and the way that you are treating your employees. It's no wonder why you are rating number one in family entertainment. PLEASE KEEP THIS UP!

It was so nice to see I just had to let someone know about this and we will most certainly return again. We also stayed for the first time at the campground adjoining Holiday World and had the same excellent treatment.

So again thank you and keep up the excellent work!!!

Price of soda can't be beat

My wife, daughter, and I come to Holiday World every year.

I just want to write and express how wonderful we think your park is to our family.

The warm and positive atmosphere, the extremely clean facilities, and the friendly staff, make a visit to Holiday World an essential part of a family's vacation planning.

We have simply loved the memories that we have made at Holiday World and we cannot wait to go back.

Your park is much more than just a 'Build it and they will come' theme park. People come because you have a quality facility at a very reasonable rate. Your food prices are low, the games are fun, the rides are fantastic, the water park is second to none, and the price of the sodas and sun blocker can't be beat.

Thank you so much for taking pride in your work and for giving us a fantastic place to go every summer.

We will see you all soon,
Jeff, Karen, and Karis R.

P.S. If you ever decide to sell your park, let me know. I would be honored to carry on your wonderful Christian tradition of providing great family fun.

I remember having the same memories as a child

We visited your park on 8/6 for my son's 7th birthday.

I remember when I was a child going there and having the same memories.

Although it was very hot...the ride entrances were well ventilated and the trees ... those glorious trees! Don't ever cut them down for days just like these! Matter of fact ... plant more for the future!

The drinks were also very nice. We drank lots of water and Gatorade. The workers were all very customer-service based, which is rare. I was surprised since they were very hot also. I thought rudeness might abound.

Thanks for the great time,
Julia F.

We fell in love!

I know you have already heard this a thousand times, but I have to add to your list.

We have been Paramount Kings Island Season Passholders for 7 years. This is the last year for us.

We visited your park Sunday, August 5 and fell in love! It was amazing how reasonable everything was including food, lines for rides, lines to get in, parking, lines, lines and lines.

Your staff was exceptionally friendly! The park was immaculate. The water park was the best we have ever been. It is amazing what a difference unlimited drinks makes on an exremely hot and humid day.

As you can tell, we had a blast! There were 3 adults, 16 yo, 14 yo, 12 yo and 5 yo. There was something for all of us.

Thank you for having such a wonderful place for our family to spend time together.

We will be purchasing season passes for our entire family.

Sincerely,
Angela P.

The ads are true!

My family and I, all 11 of us, spent the weekend at Holiday World and it was fabulous.

As everyone else has said, we were quite impressed with Pat Koch and her visibility all over the park, greeting guests, sweeping up trash, wiping off tables, etc. All of those things spoke volumes about the kind of place Holiday World is. Both days we were there, we saw her several times in different areas of the park, always working.

I am not a big rider, but they did get me on The Raven, which was a lot of fun. My kids and grandkids love every ride and had a great time. Splashin’ Safari was a great water park – so many fun things to do and so very clean; the food prices were unbelievable, the free drinks were very much appreciated, and the cleanliness of the park and the friendliness of the staff was way over the top.

We have passes to Kentucky Kingdom and live just a few miles from there, but a trip to Holiday World again is definitely on our agenda for the future, and my family is seriously considering passes for next season.

Holiday World truly is as it is advertised --- unlike so many things these days.

Thanks for a wonderful weekend!!!!

The lines weren't nearly as long...

We were there on August 2. It was my first time.

My oldest daughter and her husband had not been there either. My youngest daughter and my son had been there a few years ago. It was a church outing.

I had a wonderful time. My whole family had a wonderful time.

My oldest daughter and her husband have been to Six Flags, it is closer to where they live, but they said how much better Holiday World was.

The park was clean. The food prices were within reason. And the free soft drinks are just great. My son-in-law likes to ride the big rides and at Six Flags he said he always had to wait at least 2 hours for each ride. At your place he was able to ride all the rides he wanted to because the lines weren't nearly as long, even though you were busy.

For me one of the really big issues is traffic. I do not like traffic and I do not drive in the city and could never drive to Six Flags. I could drive to Holiday World because it is so easy to get to.

Thank You for a wonderful time and I hope to see you next year.

God Bless You,
Pat C.

So kind, in spite of the heat

We were recently in your park, precisely August 2 and 3. We have two small children ages 6 and 8.

We have never had a more enjoyable theme park experience.

The weather was so hot and all of your employees were so kind and so congenial, even though I'm sure they were miserable from the heat but they seemed to treat everyone with the same kindness.

It was wonderful to spend some time in a park suited for a family with many types of rides and shows and where no alcohol is served. My children enjoyed being there as much as I did 30 years ago with my family.

We plan to return again next year as a family and are planning a church outing in early June of 2008.

Thanks,
Brenda B.

A fantastic day

Yesterday, we were part of 5 family caravan - all for our first visit to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari from Columbia City, Indiana.

My wife and I pulled our girls out of bed at 4:30 am (3:30 in Santa Claus!) and were on the road within a few minutes. The drive went well, and we pulled into your parking lot close to opening.

The hot temperatures moved our focus to the wettest attractions we could find, and we had a blast! Monsoon Lagoon was a tremendous hit as were the slides, lazy rivers and wave pools.

The free drinks and sunscreen were very appreciated in the midst of the heat, and even though I had read about how clean the park was, I was still impressed with the whole appearance!

We were a little concerned how our kindergartner and 2nd grader would hold out after the early morning, long drive and the heat of the day, but we didn't leave the parks until 8:15. Yes, they were tired, but they were also very happy after a fantastic day, and now we're considering season tickets for next year!

Thanks for creating such family-friendly attraction.

We missed you!

I just wanted to let you know how great your park is. I have been going to Holiday World since I was a kid and it was Santa Claus Land.

My family and I visited another amusement park this summer and let me tell you there is NO comparison. It was fine, but they charged us for parking, drinks, and numerous rides and games inside the park. It was crazy.

You offer so much to your visitors. And cleanliness and friendliness, well, you really are the cleanest and friendliest park around.

Me and my children both just really missed you while visiting the other park, my daughter even said the words out loud!!!!!

Way to go Koch Family!!!!! Keep up the good work!

Thanks,
Rhonda S.

A great value for families

I just wanted to commend Holiday World for the great park that it is.

It is fun for all ages of families.

With the free soft drinks, suntan lotion, and free parking it is a great value for families.

Also when it comes to meal times all the food is very affordable to families. Most large parks are so expensive but Holiday World is not like that at all.

The water park is just outstanding with all it has to offer.

We cannot wait to come back next year and hopefully for a longer stay.

A day to remember!

My daughters and I attended the park yesterday.

I was so very impressed with everyone we came in contact with .... from the ticket booth, lifeguards, concession stand and restroom attendants.

Everything was "squeaky clean" just like the commercial says.

Thank you for such a great day and for making us feel so safe there. We are planning on returning in a few weeks. It's well worth the drive!

Visit from a new generation

We just had to drop you a note about our recent visit to Holiday World. We brought our daugher there when she was five so she could see Santa Claus and ride the little train. Now that daughter (all grown up) discovered you have been transformed into quite the place!

We brought our grandson and granddaughter to have a visit and it was wonderful!

The free pop was wonderful, especially when the weather is SO HOT! The sunscreen is a great perk also.

But the best part was how you maintained the "hills and hollers" of southern Indiana while making a great amusement park.

The trees were a welcome feature also.

We also appreciated your dress code; it was refreshing to take young kids to an amusement park and know we didn't have to be afraid what kind of outfits they might see.

Also, the patriotic music was so great to hear, when so many places will not use it.

We have been Cedar Point devotees for probably over 40 years and find that we will never go back again when we can come to Holiday World. You have so much more to offer a family looking for a quality experience.

Thanks,
Roy and Pat R.

I'll never forget this time with my kids

I would just like to thank everyone and share my thanks to all in the park for a great day of fun.

All too often people take the time to write about the problems they have but not enough take the time to share what a great job you are doing.

I took the day off to spend the day with my kids and visit your park. I hadn't been to the park in over 20 years. I couldn't have had a better time anywhere else and plan on not making it another 20 years.

I've visited parks all over the country and within the region and even overseas and by far I would compare your park to any of them for complete enjoyment and expense.

The water park and everyone in the park were very professional and polite considering the age of all the attendants. Everyone's attitude down to the person cleaning up was unbelievably pleasant. My kids are old enough now to remember a day of great fun and it's very much appreciated.

As a kid I remember very distinct times in my life time that I will never forget and as an adult I'll never forget the time I had with my kids at your park yesterday.

Now you can say you create great memories for a lifetime.

Thanks so very much for everything.
