Happy Birthday, HoliBlog
It's first thing in the morning, so I guess it's too early for cake.
Or flowers.
But we can still reminisce.
A year ago today, we launched the first park-sponsored blog.
And the reaction just about blew us away. The HoliBlog has consistently been the second-most visited page on our website. (#1 is the homepage ... of course, I'm conceited enough to think that's just the portal to the HoliBlog.)
So what are some of the favorite posts? Let's list a few...
Our very first hint.
A Fourth of July phone call.
The post from the day a big corporate park introduced its own blog. Somehow it seemed safe to assume they'd never post about underwear.
This one is probably my favorite. Those boys were just too much fun!
The weekly HoliHints just about drove everyone crazy (including yours truly) and the day of the announcement was a huge success. (Despite my history lesson in that post, I still get regular emails [including today] suggesting using the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria--Christopher Columbus's ships--for Thanksgiving themeing.)
This is my sentimental favorite. James checks the HoliBlog daily and airs his disappointment in his dear mother when there are not new Voyage photos posted.
And we can't forget our dear friends from across the pond. (Sorry, still don't have an air date for "Building the Biggest.")
We receive lots of emails whenever we talk about the Santa Claus Land years.
And of course, the many, many, many construction updates.
Many thanks for all the feedback we've received over the year. We truly get a kick out of reading your family's stories, your ideas ... and even your concerns when we skip a few days. Not to worry, the HoliBlog was never intended to be short-term.
And try to be patient, James; Mommy will post some more Voyage photos later this afternoon.
