Worth a thousand words

Rachel snapped off a few on Wednesday. The landscape changes, literally, hour by hour here in the final weeks, so I don't want to get too far behind.

Here's the inside of Gobbler Getaway. Now, two days later, there's drywall everywhere.

The walkway from the 4th of July section to the Thanksgiving section is coming right along, thankfully.

Can't imagine anyone will ask, "Where's that new coaster?"

Here's the station from the other side (we're looking south in the photo below).

We have about 120 construction workers on site. The difference from day to day is remarkable.

We received a really nice email from a fellow in Birmingham, Alabama, yesterday. He wanted to be sure all the construction workers knew how much they were appreciated.

Fear not!

We maked, baked, and served up delicious Holiday World pizza for them on Monday. And by "we," I mean Will, Mrs. Koch, the directors, and (thank heavens!) some food service folks who knew what they were doing.

That's Tori in the foreground, pulling a hot, fresh pizza out of an oven.

Lots of appreciation was shown--by all concerned.

All except for my singing.

Only John joined me in, "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore."

There weren't any leftovers.

Here's another tasty shot as The Voyage swings around the station.

And it's not even heated to 90 degrees...not quite, anyway.

Speaking of "hot" ... WSTO, which calls itself Hot 96 FM, will also have in-studio chatter with Will early Monday morning.

At 5:30 am. Wonder if they make TiVo for radio...
