Play the day away
Another Play Day has come and gone.
The weather wasn't the best, but no one seemed to care. Laughter filled the air.

I especially enjoyed watching one young fellow riding HallowSwings. He was having the time of his life.
I got dizzy just watching and had to turn away. But I'll never forget the complete and utter bliss on his sweet face.

I am so greatfull about this program. My son had a great time Friday, but unfortunatly this was his schools last year particapating in this. The program that worked with childern in this school district has been cancelled next year because of budget cut. So sad for all the kids.

First off thank you for your comment on my blog!! I just want to say I personally appreciate all that Holiday World did for each of the special kids. I watched intently each of the workers as they patiently helped those who needed assistance. I have 4 special needs kids (only 1 was with me this year). Two of my kids attend the Rehab Center. I watched while Pat Koch was passing off the donation to the Easter Seals lady for 20k and it really was touching. Next year I hope all of my children will be able to enjoy such a day (though I hope it will be warmer next year :) ) Thanks again Holiday World workers for bringing so many smiles to these special kids. Pass along to your staff that they are amazing people! I work at an Easter Seals group home, so I was at PlayDay with five of my residents from Evansville. We only had time to ride two rides: The Legend and the Voyage. Your staff was very considerate and helped them get in and out of the cars with a smile on their faces and didn't seem to mind the hold-up. I really appreciate how they treated everyone that day and I can't wait until next year's PlayDay!
