"I'm out of my comfort zone"

Poor Mike.

He got dragged into a TV interview the other day. Not exactly kicking and screaming, but he did solemnly tell me, "Paula, I'm out of my comfort zone."

...but Mike gamely slapped on a pleasant smile and talked about, what else, roller coasters.

This is for an upcoming episode of "The Weekly Special," a TV show produced in Bloomington, Indiana. The host, Ann Shea, promises they'll stream the show online after it airs next Thursday and Friday. (We'll provide the link at that time.)

Their focus while in the park was the coaster maintenance crew at Holiday World.

Sean took them with him on his morning Voyage walk.

Okay, so what is Sean telling the cameraman (who, coincidentally, is Eric from CoasterRadio.com)?

Here's my offering: Ever since I started this gig, my cuticles have needed extra attention.

Now it's your turn...click on "comments" and give us your best shot.

(Meanwhile, I'm going to find my comfort zone. Sean's a really nice guy, but he's got power tools and he knows how to use them.)

I know it wasn't a big secret (how many guys names begin with E?), but I find it funny that Coasterradio's E.B. got part of his "secret identity" revealed.

Hey guys it's your 1# Biggest Fan again. Thats awesome that you guys got interviewed again. Whenever I see the Holiday World commercial I have to watch it even though I've seen it a couple thousand times. I can't wait to see the episode. To prepare, Paula's gonna think I'm a nut for saying this but I'll have to make popcorn, snacks, soda: Pepsi Products like my fav place has, my video camera and some cheese and don't forget my Raven t-shirt and some cheerleader pompoms. I'll be cheering you guys on. Oh and I almost forgot. My pet rock Bob. He has a mowhock and a beard. HA!!!

SEE YAH GUYS!!!
HOLIDAY WORLD'S 1# BIGGEST FAN!!!

"Most of the time this maintenance work isn't too bad, just tighten a few bolts here and there and a spot of grease on the track. Goes pretty smooth and quick! But there's one one weekend you have to watch out for! They bring in this large group of people who call themselves "coaster enthusiasts" and give them extra ride time. All those people and all the continuous riding, boy they sure can get the track out of alignment! Those trains run hot and heavy and boy are they fast! I must've spent 5 hours just adjusting the Voyage track alone last night!

And to top it all off they give them all you can eat pizza and buffets while they are here, and a piece of fudge for dessert! I'm telling ya, they're plotting against us!"

“See, this is why we say no food on the rides. These kids carry on Cotton Candy… it melts… I try to clean it off… now look… My fingers are actually stuck together… I ask you, ‘How am I supposed to properly maintain the rides with my fingers stuck together?’”
