"Come on, throw us a bone!"

Is that the message someone meant to send? You want a clearer, more straight-forward clue about Tuesday's announcement?

Then why the heck did you throw a bone at me?

My parking spot is on the other side of the Raven Parking Lot. That means a chain-link fence separates my car from someone else's.

Normally that's just fine. We co-exist in perfect harmony. Even wave at each other once in a while.

But I stepped out of my office a bit ago and....ewwww!

Someone apparently flung a perfectly good chicken bone at me. Or, rather, my car.

Actually, it was uneaten, a leg. Packed from home. Could it have been the last one in the picnic basket and siblings couldn't decide who deserved it more? ... so one of them just grabbed it and pitched it over the fence?

As my inner Mrs. Koch told me (quite insistently) to go pick the chicken leg up and throw it away, a big black bird swooped down and hungrily took care of it for me.

If this had been a dream, I'd probably have it analyzed. But it actually happened, so we'll just chalk it up to life.

As we approach the announcement, I'm increasingly aware of the scrutiny each blog post is under, in the constant search for clues.

So we'll leave you with this: With our new ride, we're hoping to get a leg up on the competition.

Hmm..."leg up" on the competition. Could it be possible that the big announcement is some sort of lounge or lodge for people to take a break from the sun and walking?

After a hard days work, the pilgrims took a break too! Imagine this, after an exhilarating ride on that fantastic Voyage or gathering all those gobblers wouldn't you love to go to an air conditioned lodge where you can put your feet up in a cozy recliner with televisions and happy Holiday World employees bringing you FREE! unlimited Pepsi soft drinks?

Getting this kind of service in an amusement park sure would be "rare." Its something even that mouse would envy! :-)

Maybe they are building a ferris wheel to get a "leg up" on the competition. The spinning would explain the "vertigo."

A ferris wheel could easily be the "tallest" ride in the park and not have a huge footprint.

I'm not a big roller coaster fan...but maybe I can finally see "eye-to-eye" with those crazy people at the top of the voyage!

Hmmm...
"A leg up on the competition"?
How about a 250' tall wooden racing coaster!
It would make Lightning Racer look tame.

Call me crazy, but maybe totally redo the Raven? Or maybe a NEW 180' tall coaster with a 175' foot drop at 75 degrees! It'd go 69 mph and last 1:41! But not a Splinter. Splinters dont cost 8.5 million. Then again, maybe chicken like chicken out....

Oh my this is getting to me... I had a dream that you built the tallest wooden coaster with this really unique element called a triple figure eight that took you back and forth over and over again. I have no idea where that came from but it sure did look cool.

"With our new ride, we're hoping to get a leg up on the competition." This makes me think they will be adding a new steel coaster to strike back against Indiana Beach. My guess would be a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter coaster.

It OBVIOUSLY has something to do with the Raven...
Raven parking lot, big black bird. But at the same time a chicken. HMMMM... Sky lift that looks like chickens and ravens, that would just be ugly. I like the lodge idea, btw...
2 fact sheets. hmmmm....

Well it evidently has something to do with poultry in the Thanksgiving section because if you caught Paula's blog earlier last week she had a "Chicken Pannini" on her desk that went bad and now getting a leg up on the competition and all the talk about chicken and birds makes me think of some type of new buffet restaurant where you can relax that will serve fried chicken ????? Not sure about the new ride though.

World's tallest waterslide would be cool. The world record now is about 135 feet, so it'd be about 140 feet and go about 65 mph. The tallest splash boat be 125 feet or more and go 65 mph or more. I don't know the record for log flume, but I think its 100 fet or more. A river rapids record is the easiest to break. The record's like 35 feet...
