A phone call from Pennsylvania

A reporter called earlier today. He was following up on a rumor.

He works for the Allentown, Pennsylvania, paper and their local park had just sold one of their coasters to an undisclosed buyer.

The reporter saw rumors on the Internet that we were the mystery buyer.

I nearly choked, trying to suppress my laughter. How far will this go?

"I can confirm ..." I began.

Yes...

"I can confirm that there is a rumor online about that."

So...you're saying you can neither confirm nor deny.

(Hee! I've always wanted to say that!)

"That's correct ... I can neither confirm nor deny."

(Several hours later and that's old news. The latest rumor is it's going to Germany.)

Classic.

It seems as if the new ride may be a coaster named the splinter(holidayworld may give it a thanksgiving sounding name) it is a new concept for the gravity group and that dude that came was a bi hint. Holiday world said whatever it is is goinging to be cheaper than the voyage.the stakes are in about the same formation of the coaster. It has to be the splinter. visit the gravity group website

Didn't think it would be Laser, but a ride like Phantom's Revenge would be awesome!

That's what I think because they also have other new things coming in '09 so it can't be that expensive of a coaster, they'll probably call it Little Voyage lol.

The price tag oft published for the Voyage at over 10mill includes the new Thanksgiving area, and the new pathways. The new ride will cost about the same as the Voyage, and that rules out a Drop Tower or a Laser port. Perhaps a coaster with a steep drop (dive machine) or a height record? Nothing like "Son of Beast" at KI, or "Mean Streak" at CP, hopefully. Mega-Wooden Coasters are notoriously rough.

^^Why would that rule out a Drop Tower?

I'm guessing you don't realize how much those cost...

And I dive machine could be anywhere in the $15-$25 million price range. You can go ahead and count that one out.
