Karen has worked here since she was a teen.

She was one of Will's favorites: cheerful, hard-working, quick with a witty comeback. She's now a married mom of two, and our administrative assistant.

With Will's passing, Karen was asked to piece together photos and video clips to help tell Will's story.

Here's a clip with photos of Will in the park, video of him playing bass guitar with the Beachcombers, plus a bit of a sweet interview Will's middle child, Leah, conducted with Will a few years ago, asking questions you'd posted here on the HoliBlog.

That bit about Karen being one of Will's favorites? Come to think of it, our boss and dear friend had a way about him that made us all feel like we were special to him.

…as he was to all of us.

Thank you so much for posting this, my son Will is counting the days until he is old enough to apply for work at Holiday World, you are safe until 2015.

He has been talking about it since the fall of 2007 when he found out the minimum age to work there, he was in first grade.

He asked last night if his dad and I would pay for him to ride a bus until he gets his first pay check, he has done his research.

He is sad that he will not have the opportunity to meet Will but, I have told him there is always a chance that he will meet  Pat, Lori, Lauren, Leah and William and/or other family members.

The Koch and Holiday World/Splashing Safari families are in our thoughts and prayers.
