Flumus fugit

Okay, so it turns out "flumus" isn't really Latin. (It's slang for the little pooch of skin between your thumb and pointer finger.)

So this is a stretch. (Ba-da-bum.)

For those who didn't catch at least a semester of Latin back in school, there's a phrase, "tempus fugit," which means "time flies."

And indeed, suddenly realizing our Frightful Falls log flume is still splashing after three decades, I felt it was time to say something.

And show something. Love this photo!

Frightful Falls

Frightful Falls opened in 1984, the same year we became Holiday World. (Prior to that, we were called Santa Claus Land.)

Since we are on the topic of three decades ago, did you know that during the first year we were called Holiday World, we had a different logo? That's right, from 1985 to present day, we have used this logo:

Holiday World logo

But in 1984, we used this:

Holiday World logo in 1984 only

When I tweeted this single-year logo, here was the first comment:

Huh. Good description, @starwynd.

And here I was thinking it was just kind of pointy.
