Has it really been more than 60 years since Louis J. Koch opened the world's first theme park? To help celebrate the 60th Anniversary Season of the park that debuted on August 3, 1946 as Santa Claus Land and is now known far and wide as Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, beloved park matriarch Pat Koch collaborated on this pictorial history book with professional writer Jane Ammeson of Stevensville, Michigan. Together they sifted through thousands of archival photos from Santa Claus Land and more recent images from Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, including construction shots of The Voyage wooden roller coaster, which premiered in 2006.

Pat and Jane spent hours discussing the park's history, matching stories with photos. They interviewed park employees (past and present), Koch family members, and others who could enrich the text of the book with their personal recollections. Overall more than 200 often rare and never-before-released photos are featured in this pictorial history book. Personally signed by Pat Koch. 128 pages.
