"Only in Southern Indiana"

My family & I visited your amusement park on the 22nd & 23rd of July. I wanted to send a quick email to let you know how impressed I was with your park, reasonable prices and staff!!

I thought the park had a lot of great features & amenities..not to mention an awesome water park. Also, the prices were great in and around the park!

The staff are such pleasant, friendly people! Not to mention, my grandmother lost her wallet w/$600 cash and picked it up later that evening @ the courtesy booth with nothing touched! That can only happen in Southern Indiana.

In addition, my husband is from the Ferdinand area. He had not been to the park in 20 years..and was just as impressed!

We will make this an annual trip from now on!

Best regards,

Tina B.

I have a child with severe food allergies (milk, egg and peanut) and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for including allergen-free foods at your theme park.

It is very difficult when it comes to meal times for my family because of our son’s allergies, but increasing awareness and support are making meal times easier. I would like to commend you on your decision to include these foods at Holiday World. Now, I do not have to stress about our meals and the whole family can have a great time at Holiday World.

Thank you!!

"You made Jake feel special"

My family visited Holiday World in June. We had a wonderful time.

My kids love Holiday World.

My son felt very special that day because of the time your staff took to meet his needs. Jake is 7 years old and has a life threatening peanut allergy. We ate in Splashin' Safari, the Holidog FunTown, and near the front entrance and each time your staff was very willing to do what we needed to keep him safe. Sometimes just bringing a box so I can read the ingredients means so much. I appreciate that they were prepared to do that. So, often when you ask for information or to see a label people are rude because they do not understand the seriousness of the situation. Your staff helped us to feel comfortable and have a great day at Holiday World.

Thank you to you and your staff,

Heather R. & Family

"Ingredient list? Sure, no problem!"

My family visited your park a few weekends ago.

Our four year old daughter, Nichole, has life threatening food allergies to egg and nuts. We were so thrilled to find that any time we had a question about food ingredients your staff simply pulled out an ingredient list and let us read it.

You turned a potentially stressful day into a great experience!

Thank You-

"We're sold on Holiday World"

Ok - I have been telling everyone to go to Holiday World. We recently visited for the first time and really can't wait to go back.

What sold us? Well besides the clean and friendly park, the free soda really hit the spot! We took our youngest daughter and grandkids and when you have to buy sodas it gets expensive - this saved us a TON of $$. Plus, the kids and us loved it.

The waterpark was perfect and the rides were great too. The ages were 7-13 years and they all had a blast.

It was worth the drive and we will not have to deal with other parks anymore - Holiday World will be our park each year!

We opened the park and closed it, wish we would have planned to go back the next day. Now we know.

"Thanksgiving in July -- Yummy!"

I just wanted to write and tell you how much fun we had at your parks. We visited Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Though we had a wide range of ages/abilities in our party, we all found lots to do.

I was impressed by how clean the parks were, and how much the employees seemed to enjoy their jobs.

I loved the free sunscreen. It was so nice to not have to haul around 3-4 bottles for the day (we are very fair).

I appreciated the reasonable prices on everything.

We especially loved having dinner at the Plymouth Rock Cafe'. I adore Thanksgiving dinner, but only attempt it once a year, due to all the work involved. Getting that meal in July, without any work, for a great price, was wonderful. The sweet potato casserole was soooo yummy.

We will definitely plan to make a repeat visit next year.

Thanks for doing so much to make it a fantastic experience!!

Best Regards,

I just wanted to email you and let you know we visited your park on Sunday, July 27th with our 2 year old nephew from New York City. We had an absolute blast!

Your park is just fantastic! It was so clean and the fact you could get a drink anywhere in the park and the free suntan lotion. Just great.

Our nephew had so much fun in the water park. He wore 3 adults out!

We have decided that this is going to become a family tradition for him. Holiday World every year. What a fantastic place for kids.

Our family salutes you!

Thanks again!

"Amazed at the changes"

My wife and I recently visited Holiday World and Splashin' Safari and we had a great time.

We appreciate the family oriented environment and all the extras we got during our visit.

We drove 4 hours just to get there and it was worth every minute of it. We had not been in 8 years and we were amazed at the changes that had taken place.

We love the free drinks and sunscreen, they make the trip so enjoyable. Since we were able to take advantage of those perks, we actually ate lunch and supper in the park instead of packing a lunch.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

I want to thank you for the great time that you provided for my family and me during our visit this week. We spent one day at Holiday World and one day at Splashin' Safari.

Without exception, every single employee was courteous and genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our stay.

There is one employees that I would especially like to praise:
Tiffany (operator on the Revolution Ride on Tuesday 7/22). I asked Tiffany a few questions about the ride while we were waiting in line. She was pleasant and courteous in answering my questions, but never took her eyes off of the ride. She kept the safety of the riders first and foremost. That really impacted me. I don't know how you get employees like her, but keep doing it! She's great!

One of the things I do with my kids on the way home from a vacation trip is to have them tell me what they thought was the best part of the trip. This time I spent a lot of time asking myself that same question. Here are my thoughts:

Staff:
The tram drivers, the ticket takers, the ride operators, the food servers, the shop workers, the show performers, EVERYONE seemed to have one goal and that was to make sure that I was completely satisfied. It was an added bonus to see Pat Koch doing a walk-around several times a day checking things out.

Cleanliness:
The parks are spotless! The landscaping is phenomenal.

Maintenance:
I am a mechanical engineer and spent a lot of time looking at the structure and mechanics of the rides while waiting in line. It was obvious that Holiday World has a first rate maintenance staff and program.

Value:
The free soft drinks and sunscreen, FANTASTIC! The free parking, WOW! Fed my whole family a great tasting meal for less than a trip to McDonald's, INCREDIBLE! Two full days of family fun entertainment for less than $60.00 per person, SUPER!

Courage:
It was so refreshing to hear the name of Jesus praised in the Gospel Music Show and see the Nativity Scene at the front gate. Thank you for this.

You have exceeded my expectations on every level.

Thank you again for everything!

Best Regards,

"Holiday World is the real Hero!"

I wanted to write to you to thank you for providing a park I can take my family to. Each year for the last eight or nine years I have been able to afford to take my three daughters to your park for a summer outing. We made our annual trip this year only a couple of days ago.

When I paid for our admission to the park with a credit card I was asked for a photo id. I would like to thank your gate worker for asking, this helps to protect me. The easiest identification card I had was My State Police ID. I presented it and was told by the gate worker that I could receive a "Hero's Discount". This was unexpected but welcomed. The gate worker helped make it even more affordable for me to have a day trip with my family.

I believe Holiday World Theme Park is the real "Hero" for providing us with a family friendly place to make memories that will last a life time.

Thank You,

"July 8th experience tops them all"

My husband, two boys (ages 9 & 5), and I spent our vacation in Santa Claus the week of July 6-12th. We stayed at the best campground we have ever been in, Lake Rudolph. We also spent 4 days at Holiday World.

We enjoyed every minute spent at Holiday World. My older son could live in the wave pools at Splashin' Safari. He also really loved Kima Bay! Great job on that addition!

My younger son was a bit disappointed that he was too short to ride the roller coasters. He is only 46 inches tall. He was really looking forward to riding the Voyage. (He rides it virtually on the computer every day.) He did ride every ride at the park that he was tall enough to get on though. He absolutely loved the Reindeer Games ride and probably rode it 50 times!

We all had a great time and are so impressed with how clean and family friendly your park is.

We live about an hour from Kings Island, but drove over 3 hours to go to your park instead!

I have to tell you about one experience that really impressed me. There are a lot of things about Holiday World that I brag about when telling friends and family they must come to this park - the rides, the free drinks, the fact that our family of 4 could enjoy a good meal for $20!!!!! The list goes on & on. However, what I experienced on Tuesday, July 8th, tops them all in my opinion.

It was about 7:15 PM and the skies had started to get dark with storm clouds. We decided to go back to the campground before the storms hit.

Our youngest son, Noah, begged us to let him ride Reindeer games just one more time. There was no line for the ride, so we agreed to let him get on.

Just as the ride operator started the ride, the warning sirens went off telling the workers to stop all the rides. She quickly stopped the ride. What really impressed me though as the mother of small children, was happened next.

The girl was a teenager, probably still in high school. As she let the children off the ride, she instructed them to remain in their seat until she took them one at a time by the hand and personally made sure that each and every child on that ride was in the care of their parent.

I have been at other parks when they have to close the rides due to inclement weather, they usually just stop the ride and everyone gets off. No one makes sure the kids end up with their parents. I was so impressed to see the care she took to make sure that in all the chaos, each child was safe. Kudos to you for the wonderful training you do with your staff. It truly shows how much you care for the families who are coming to your park.

This is one family who will return again and again!!!!

Last Friday, my husband and I took on one of our many visits to Holiday World with our son, Shane. We have been coming with him since he was 4 or 5 and he is now 15.

I just want to tell you, its better everytime we come. We always go home happy and satisfied.

We always tell people about Holiday World. We told people while we waited in long, long, hot lines at Disney World about what a nice place Holiday World is and where it is located. They could hardly believe the free parking and free drinks. We went to Jamaica last year and told our friends there about it and I'm sure that will be one of the things we show them when they come.

Thanks,

I visited Holiday World on Friday, July 11th, with my sister, my niece and great nephew. This was our first visit.

Too often people let everyone know when something is wrong but do not let anyone know when something is right. I want to remedy that.

Your staff and park are doing everything right. The park was the cleanest I have ever seen, the rides were way beyond what is expected and all of the extras; free parking, sunscreen and drinks just made it perfection in a summer day.

Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will be returning and we will be singing your praises to everyone.

Sincerely,

Cheri M.

I wanted to email you in regards to our recent family experience at Holiday World. I commend you on the family atmosphere which we encountered and have always encountered on our visits.
In particular, I would like to compliment you on the presence of a gospel music presentation at your park. It certainly is refreshing to encounter a park where there is no embarrassment or apprehension about having a performance with Christian content. In takes a lot of determination not to cave into those “politically correct “aspects of our current society which would sterilize the environment to any direct reference to God. I may be incorrect, but I would guess that a part of the reason for the presence of this show is due to the convictions of you and your family.

This summer we also spent eight days in Disney World and saw most of what they have to offer. It is therefore a natural thing to compare our time and experience at both. By comparison, we were pleased to find that you have priced your food such that it is affordable and of good quality. That is not to mention the long tradition of free sunscreen and unlimited soft drinks. Also, every employee we encountered was a “clean cut” diligent young person. There was a much regimented safety routine on each ride which was executed to the tee. I think you also avoid a lot of problems by not having or serving alcohol on the premises. There is no place for excessive alcohol consumption in a family park environment. I hope that you can maintain that policy.

I would encourage you as long as possible to maintain your family’s control of the park. Holiday World has been such a success that I’m sure the day will come, if it has not already, that some large company may offer to buy the park. I hope that you would resist that offer as a major differentiating factor for Holiday World from other theme parks is your family’s diligent oversight of its atmosphere and direction.

Thank you again for providing a place where Amy and I can bring our children where the values and environment are not opposed to those which we have instilled in them.

Thank you also for simply providing food and not taking that opportunity to take advantage of us as we experienced at Disney.

God bless,

Stacey E.

Recently made a trip to one of those other parks, did not compare to Splashin' Safari/Holiday World. Have already been to Holiday World 3 times this summer and plan trip number 4 soon.

Had group outing for Six Flags was very disappointed.

Splashin' Safari has been our favorite place for years and just keeps getting better with each year.

My children always have a good time here and the lines are not long, the staff has always been polite, nothing compares to the value of Holiday World.

"Your commerical was right"

I just want to let you know what a great job you all are doing.

We went to Dollywood and your saying was right. It cost 8 dollars to park and we were able to feed my family of 3 at Holiday World for $7.50. So thank you for what You do to make us come back!

My family of 10 people attended Holiday World for the first time on July 15, 2008. I just wanted to personally thank the people of Holiday World for one of the best days of our children's lives. We had children from 11 yrs. down to 5 yrs. They were all equally excited.

The"free drinks" were totally awesome. Our family stayed hydrated and it wasn't a pinch to our wallets.

The sunscreen was another great feature that presented to be wonderful. After all day of swimming and easy access to the screen not one of us was sunburned. I am a red head and a few of the others were fair skinned.

KUDOS to those 2 "friendly features" that you have built in.

Also, we were amazed that the cost of a box of french fries was only $1.59. Kings Island would have easily been $3.00 or more. Not to mention NO FREE DRINKS.

I have heard great things about Holiday World prior to going there. The"free drinks" were the biggest quality talked about.

Since visiting, I too, will pass on the good words for HOLIDAY WORLD.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL DAY OF EXCITEMENT.

TAMMY A.
Hagerstown, Indiana

I am a local resident and recently visited Holiday World.

When I was a teenager I worked there for four summers which has been around 15 years ago. I still remember Pat Koch walking around the park and always greeting people with a smile.

On our recent visit to Holiday World on 4th of July weekend Pat Koch was there to great people at the entrance just like she has done for so many years. She is an amazing lady and has truly made a difference in our community.

Holiday world is so important to our community and workforce by providing jobs for so many teenagers and adults. Holiday World visitors impact restaurants, shops, gas stations, hotels, and the list goes on and on.

I am fortunate that I now can bring my two children to Holiday World to see the joy in their faces.

During my recent visit I witnessed a young teenage boy pull out a dollar bill out of his wallet so this kid could buy the ice cream cone he wanted. The young child did not have enough change to get what he wanted. I could tell that the worker did not know this child. The kids parents were not up close to the counter so they did not know what occurred. I was amazed that a teenager was willing to give this child a dollar bill out of his own pocket. You would never come across such kindness at Kings Island, Six Flags, or any other theme park. It only goes to show you that southern Indiana has a strong community with some truly good individuals. I only wish that I had glanced at this teenage boys name tag to recognize his kindness.

Thank you for continually making Holiday World better and better every year. Hats off to all the individuals that make this theme park one of the best around.

"We weren't robbed or commercialized"

I would just like to take a moment to compliment your park. We had such a wonderful time!!

The park is so clean, everyone is so polite, the free soft drinks and sun block are a major plus.

My husband and I were talking on the way home about how we didn't feel like we had been robbed or commercialized!! The food prices were so reasonable that we didn't even dread eating.

Anyway we just wanted you to know what a great time we had and how much we have enjoyed your wonderful park. We will definitely be back.

First visit feedback

I just wanted to let Holiday World personnel know how great our first visit to Holiday World was last weekend. We arrived last Friday, July 11th, and stayed all day and then purchased next day tickets for Saturday and stayed most all day on Saturday. Our family had a great time.

Your park was the cleanest I have ever been in.

The free unlimited drinks were great.

All employees were very friendly, diligent and helpful.

Services at all restaurants were excellent and very well managed. We ate lunch at Kringle's Kafe' and it was very good.

Our daughters, ages 9 and 5 loved the visit.

We will definitely be back next year.

Splashin Safari was great.

I just wanted to give you some very positive feedback on your park. I have told everyone what a great experience it was for our family of 4 and for a set of grandparents.

Praises for Matt

I am a teacher and last year our 8th graders traveled to Holiday World in May. I am sorry it has taken this long for me to write this, but I just want to compliment one of your employees!! I can't remember his first name, I want to say it was Matt, and I believe his last name was Luebbehusen. He was EXTREMELY nice and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us out.

We had a student that needed her employee pass, and we were told that we had to go to the other side of the park to get it. Since we had come on coach buses, we were going to have to walk and get it. We spoke to the employee, and he made some phone calls, and then drove over to the station to pick up the pass for us. I realize that he could have said sorry you will have to walk. The student and I were grateful that we did not have to walk around the park!! We would have missed so much time in the park going to get her pass.

We saw him later in the day and he stopped me to ask how everything was and if we were having a good time? I just wanted to let you know how appreciative I was of this young man.

You truly are the friendliest park!!!

Amy H.

Just a quick note of appreciation to your park staff. I was very impressed on how well your park looked this weekend that I thought I would write you a letter.

No one ever appreciates cleanliness until there isn’t any. What I mean is that if it is dirty everyone complains, but if it is clean no one ever seems to notice. Well that is not true. I watched your employees cleaning one of your oasis’s this weekend, and boy it was warm and muggy. I am positive that the young lady would much rather be on one of the water slides, but she was diligently trying to sweep between the tables. It was an awkward environment, as the people that were using the tables were just all over the place and the kids were running around as well. She was getting discouraged but her composure was held to no end. As a park employer I would like to thank you for hiring some of the best personnel. That situation could have gone bad really quick. Your park was wonderfully clean as you would believe that Santa’s shop would be kept. These are the people that I would love to hire; someone that actually proves their worth in gold. Seeing is believing. You guys are the greatest!

My wife, my children and I are big promoters of Holiday World. You amaze us every time we come to see you.

"Impressive park"

My husband and I spent the day at Holiday World on July 10th with my sister and 10 young people, ranging in age from 10 to 18. We enjoyed the park so much.

I was so impressed with the cleanliness, the drinks available for free, the value of the meals, the friendliness of the staff, the overall atmosphere of good, clean fun, and the beauty of the park (shade!!!).

My husband appreciated the designated smoking areas.

My sister was also impressed with the cleanliness and the value.

We will probably visit the park again in the future. Thank you for a good day!

"Very Impressive operation"

Just a quick email to say thanks for a great time at your park yesterday.

We are a family of seven from Louisville and, after my wife and one of my daughters visited the park last year, put it on the calendar for a family outing this year.

Very impressive operation...from the people that work there, to the meticulous care of the facilities, to the design and layout of the park, to the Holiday World way of getting things done. It was really clear that everything (and I do mean everything) was well thought out and had a purpose. It was also nice to see that the owners have kept the park from becoming a walk thru billboard.

I could not help but sense the Lord's blessing and presence throughout the day.

Please stay privately held! I do not think our experience would have been the same if this park was owned by a public corporation.

I pray for your continued success through these tough economic times.

Regards,

Tony M.

Tough critic leaves with a smile

Last month, me and two of my friends visited your park and were blown away by just how amazing your park is.

Driving all the way from Orlando, and being in the theme park capital of the world, it may be hard to please us at times but despite this, I can't say I had anymore fun at any other park. Your park is truly amazing and the atmosphere is so nice. The level of service, and the friendliness of the staff is top notch.

After paying an arm and a leg for food at other parks, it was a fresh of breath air to pay a reasonable price for excellent food. The free unlimited soft drinks is such a great idea and put a smile on my face countless times throughout the day.

Smiles also came on the rides, most notably on The Voyage. That ride is insane!

It's just so refreshing to see that your park actually cares about your guests, and I had such an amazing time at your park. I have nothing bad to say whatsoever and usually I am a tough critic. If I am ever in the area again, you can count on me coming to Holiday World.

Keep up the good work!

Sincerely,
Sean B.

Roasted green beans are a hit

We live an hour and a half south of Nashville and recently visited Holiday World and had a great time.

Everything was so clean and family friendly.

We have told everyone we know that they really need to go to Holiday World and that they needed to stay at Lake Rudolph when they do. We are going to make it a yearly event and have plans to bring family from Idaho next year.

We ate both nights in the Plymouth Rock Café and had the roasted green beans. They were wonderful and we wanted to know if you would share your recipe? Hope to hear from you soon I have fresh green beans in my refrigerator.

My family and I along with three other families visited the park on July 8, 2008. All of us live in either Jeffersonville, IN or Louisville, KY. Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is much closer to us but every summer we choose to go to Holiday World. The drive is worth it! We had an awesome time.

I truly appreciate the rules, the appropriate dress of all of the attendants, the friendliness and good manners of the attendants and the parks cleanliness. Of course the free unlimited soft drinks, parking and sunscreen are an added bonus.

The storms rolled in about 7:15 Tuesday night. All of the attendants were very prepared for a storm emergency. They handled the situation with professionalism. I was impressed. Thank you for protecting our safety by not sending us out of the park until the storm cleared.

My family and I will definitely visit Holiday World next summer and maybe even one more time this summer.

"Your park wins, hands down"

What can I say..after spending a day at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom your park wins my vote hands down!!!!

Your water park is outstanding...Great rides...The shows were entertaining...Cleanliness was impressive..Friendliness of staff was top notch; what a great group of young people!!! Also your unlimited free soft drinks and reasonable food prices.

Even at the end of the day when the big storm hit, your staff opened up an extra room at the Kringle's Kafe' restaurant to accommodate all who were seeking shelter.

I'm from Evansville, Indiana, and I consider myself lucky to have a place like Holiday World close to home....Keep up the good work!

I just wanted to say "THANK YOU!" These words don't come out too often and I wanted to say that because you all do such a great job.

I was so surprised how clean and how nice everyone was. I'd set down for a minute and I seen a cup on the ground and it was only a minute someone was there picking it up.

My wife and I went with another couple who had a couple kids and they had a great time. So I just wanted to say Thank you and to your whole staff on a job well done.

Keep up the great job.

"PERFECT family vacation spot"

Ahhh, summertime. Time to go to another amusement park. Time to stand in long lines, put up with rude park employees and patrons, pay unbelievable prices for food and drinks, pay for parking in a park that I'm paying to visit, wade through the trash that people just throw on the ground, explain to my children why they are not allowed to say the vulgar words they are hearing, pay extra for the shows and events, have lunch standing on the sidewalk because there are never enough tables, walking a mile for a restroom and telling my children "don't touch ANYTHING", going into the gift shop hoping your child doesn't break anything because you know you will never be able to afford to pay the 1000% mark-up price on it, and leaving the place thinking "I would have had more fun if I would have just went to work."

But that was before Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. I just couldn't believe a place like this still exists. A PERFECT family vacation spot. It starts when you pull into the parking lot and there is nobody standing at the gate to take your money (only someone directing you to the closest parking space available). The employees at the ticket booths were fast and friendly. All employees were extremely courteous. I believe that set the environment for everyone (including patrons) and just put everyone in a good mood. The vulgarity and rudeness was never an issue. When it was time to eat, I was surprised to find the food prices were as cheap as any fast food restaurant. Yet the food was better. And there were more than enough covered tables to sit as a family and eat. Free soft drinks on a hot summer day....priceless. The park was very clean. The restrooms were frequent, well supplied and always clean. The dress code was enforced (keeping children from seeing things they didn't need to see). The place is very wheelchair friendly. We could walk by the games without being harassed into playing (like carnies do at the fair). The gift shops were so affordable, we could shop at the more than one of them. When we ran into a little rain, you supplied FREE ponchos. Who does that?!? The rides and attractions were all well maintained and family friendly. The shows were all free and entertaining.

This is the first time my family has gone on vacation and everyone had a wonderful time (especially the ones paying for the trip). From my family to yours, "Thank you for the best vacation we have ever had!" We look forward to our next visit.

Sincerely,

Johnny H.

All employees responded quickly

On Friday, June 27, 2008, I was in Splashin' Safari with my mom and my 3 year old son. We had just finished eating lunch at the ZOOMbabwe Grill when I began to have sharp pains in my stomach. I am 8 months pregnant, so my first thought was that I was going into labor.

We saw Mrs. Koch coming out of the restaurant, so my mom told her what was going on. She immediately radioed for help. An EMT (I believe his name was Dewayne) and a female lifeguard came shortly. I was then taken to First Aid.

I rested there until I felt better and the pain had gone away. I appreciated how the EMT helped me to stay calm. I am so grateful for everyone's quick response.

The following Tuesday, I did go into preterm labor. Thankfully, though, my labor was stopped and I am now resting at home. My baby is due August 14th, and hopefully he or she won't come too early.

I am so thankful that when I needed help while visiting Holiday World there were people who were quick to come to my rescue. I have seen firsthand how seriously everyone takes their job. I want to encourage everyone to continue to keep up the excellent work!

Thank you,

I just wanted to say that three of my friends and I went to Holiday World on Saturday and had a BLAST! Both parks are beautiful and clean and friendly! We only encountered one non-friendly staff member-we thought that was a good percentage! :)

I had went to Six Flags a couple of weeks ago and the place was not nearly has clean, friendly, or pretty. I love all of the flowers you have planted everywhere!

We also had to pay $15 for parking at Six Flags and had to pay $17 for lockers and didn't receive a refund.

I will continue to go to Holiday World, I love it there!

I plan on attending again this summer! I can't wait!

Thank you for being a great value and not having dollar signs in your eyes.

No "Gotcha!"

I just want to thank you guys for providing a nice, clean and reasonably priced amusement park.

With the rise of gas prices and this ever faltering economy the first thing that gets cut unfortunately is family vacation. We decided to stay close to home this year and try out Holiday World (it was our first time there) and we had a ball!

The quality in your park is remarkable; clean facilities, and I could not believe you provide free soft drinks, nothing in this world is free. I was waiting for someone to say "gotcha." The food was affordable, and my family and I were able to have a good time and leave without feeling sick by the amount of money we spent.

I just wanted to say thank you for offering affordable fun. You can tell that you care about your park and the families that visit. It's good to know that places still exist, where it's not all about the taking, your park gives as well.

Thanks so much and we will be back.

"Holiday World really cares"

I just wanted to let you all know that we had a great time at Holiday World on the 4th of July.

Holiday World is a great place. It feels like you really care about us and if we are having a good time and it doesn't feel like you are just out to get our money. Everything is reasonably priced or free.

Me and my husband went to Holiday World before we had kids and it had been 6 years. This time we took our 3 girls. We all loved it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We plan on making this trip a yearly affair.

First visit since 1983

This is my fist visit to your park since 1983. (When I was 7 years old.) Just wanted to let you know we visited on July 4, 2008, and had a wonderful time!

The park was so clean and EVERY employee we encountered was extremely helpful and friendly!

I loved the free soft drinks and sunscreen! Even our lunch was reasonably priced and the food was great!

I just can't say enough great things about our visit. You are doing a great job, and we will definitely be back next year!

"The sky's the limit"

Here is yet another testimony to the great staff that works at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. It has been a tradition for many years now that we spend at least one day of our summer vacation at Holiday World. What a great time we had on July 2nd. The weather was perfect, the rides were great, the water park was refreshing, the food was delicious and affordable, the parking was free, the free soft drinks hit the spot, the shows were very professionally done, and the staff went beyond the call of duty.

One of the last things that we did was ride The Raven. I had placed my glasses in my pants pocket before getting on the ride, while I should have put them in my backpack. When I got off the ride I found that a lens had popped out and wasn't in my pocket. I went back and told the attendants approximately what car we were in and they searched diligently. Fortunately, they found it. Thanks again to the attendants.

For our family we go back to the days of Santa Claus Land. I can still remember our kindergarten class taking a field trip to the park, and that was some 45 years ago! We also have spent many enjoyable summers at Christmas Lake Village.

I continue to be amazed at the great things that are being done to the park and know that the sky's the limit on what can be done with the space you still have available.

Our father, Gordon, was a long time employee of Midwestern Engineers, and he was always proud that the company could play a part in the development of Holiday World and Splashin' Safari.

P.S. Some neighbors of mine in Virginia have recently moved to Louisville, KY, and I have encouraged them to make the short trip over to the park, and have guaranteed they will have the time of their lives.

"First visit was AWESOME"

First time my family has been to Holiday World. We will now make it a yearly event.

I have visited other theme parks, but none are as clean as Holiday World. The prices are great. The people are very friendly. They seem to really care that your family is safe and having a good time.

My children loved it and others in my family now have their children picking Holiday World over Disney World!

Keep up the great work and continue to make it a "family" oriented theme park!!

"What a great place you have"

My family and I had the great pleasure of visiting your park on Thursday, June 26th and Friday, June 27th. This is our fourth year making the 650 mile journey from Wisconsin.

I have been to other parks around the country, and Holiday World is definitely in a class of its own. I can't say enough about what a great place this is. Holiday World is so geared towards family and especially the kids. There are the adult 'toys' as well, but things are definitely centered around the kids. The food is reasonably priced, and the drinks are always free!

Please keep up the good work.

I also have to add something about Lake Rudolph Campground. What a great partnership between the park and the campground. Save all your energy for the time at the park, and take the free shuttle back and forth. We made our reservations for
next year after checking out Saturday morning.

Again, keep up the great work! See Ya in 2009!!!!!!

"FREE, cold drink hit the spot!"

I just wanted to let you know that Holiday World is an awesome place for a family vacation. We all enjoyed going very much. There is something for everyone.

I was glad to see that the Pepsi products were free! It was hot this past weekend and a FREE, cold drink hit the spot!

I'm glad we had the opportunity to go. We will definitely be back in the future!!

Sincerely,

"Three days of family fun"

I wanted to thank you for a wonderful three days of family fun. We are a family of six and spent last Friday-Sunday at your park.

What a special place you have! Your employees are exceptional, they were kind and helpful. My husband and I even commented that we saw them pick up a mess someone had left and they were apparently on break(had lunch box with them)! Wow! So clean, I often worry about public swimming pools, but everyone was on their toes.

Again thank you, and we plan to come at least one weekend a year - and hopefully bring other family with us.

"Organized, affordable and friendly"

I wanted to write Holiday World to let you know of the wonderful time my family had on our visit to this amusement park this past week (June 2008).

We were amazed at the cleanliness of the park and organization of rides, drink stations, shops, and lockers. Everything had its place.

We were impressed in the gift shops the wide range of souvenirs, from expensive to inexpensive, letting all of our children have a "take home" toy that was actually reasonably priced. And we even got a free souvenirs ticket for their scrapbooks to boot!

We were daunted at the grand number of rides for the money, the good working order and cleanliness of the rides themselves, and the fact that there was literally something for EVERYONE in our family. From ages 1 to 9 yrs and my husband and I, each of us had something we could do and a part of the park we could enjoy.

We were also lucky that when our 4 year old got lost, we found her in a "lost parent" meeting place playing cards with a few of the staff. They did a great job calming her down, and the stations were appropriately placed(one right outside the Monsoon Lagoon, which is where she had wandered off from).

Kudos as well for having the little kid areas smartly sectioned off in "difficult" to get out of placements (although clearly, not impossible).

Most of all, we were impressed at how "family friendly" the park was. I was highly encouraged when I was absentmindedly leaving the park with my one piece suit and shorts on(no shirt), that a staff member discretely and very kindly stated I would need a shirt on to "re-enter" the park.

Every single staff we encountered was exceptionally friendly and seemed very happy not only with their job but with taking responsibility for the safety and FUN of the park attendees. They measured and re-measured my children to make sure they were safe to get on the rides (no "eyeing" a kid like they do sometimes at local venues), and were polite and respectful. There were even staff helping me get in and out of water rides with my younger children, instead of watching me as I fumbled as many other amusement park workers will.

I was impressed by the fact there was a "nursing mothers" station complete with a microwave to nuke a bottle for our baby, and time to get her to rest in a glider away from the hustle and bustle of the park. Wish I had known that on day one.

The food was also appropriately priced and offered healthy alternatives and the "free" sunscreen was an added bonus, causing us to not worry about lugging about MORE than we already had to carry.

We noticed the length of the lines dwindled considerably by the evening, and my children were able to whip through many rides very quickly, with hardly any wait time.

We have decided as a family to make this at least an annual event every year. We will be looking for discount tickets so we can hopefully attend more than once a summer and have informed all of our friends about our trip to Holiday World, encouraging them to go with us in the years to come.

Thank you for putting together such a wonderful park!!!!
