I would like to share a few comments from a family from our church who were at the park last week.
I am a member of ACE and GOCC. We received tickets to the park for the 2009 season. I had double knee replacement surgery and was not able to use the tickets. Thus the gift of tickets for a family of four from our church. They spent two days at the park and had a blast.
We talked on Sunday at church. They were so impressed with the park. They went on and on about how clean the park was. How friendly everyone at the park was. They said the food was great and the value was out of this world. They loved the shows. They just went on and on to many people at church. They were so thankful for us sharing our tickets.
I had told them about the park before they went. I am so glad they saw what I already knew. The family said it was one of the best places they had ever been too.
I wanted to share the words. I was happy the tickets were able to be used. I am glad a family saw first hand what I as a coaster fan know.
Thank you for what you do at Holiday World. I look forward to returning and riding again soon.
Keep up the great work.

MY FAMILY CAME TO HOLIDAY WORLD YESTERDAY; FIFTEEN OF US. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING; THE CLEANLINESS, THE RIDES AND THE ATTENTION TO FAMILY.
WE SAW THE HOLIDAZZLES AND STORYTIME WITH SANTA, AND WE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE FAMILY VALUES THAT WERE TAUGHT DURING THIS TIME.
THE FREE DRINKS WERE GREAT.
WE ENJOYED THE SMALLNESS OF THE PARK AND THEY LAYOUT WAS GREAT. EVERYTHING WAS EASY TO GET TO.
FOR MYSELF, (THE COORDINATOR OF THE TRIP) I WAS ESPECIALLY HAPPY TO TAKE THIRTY MINUTES OF MY BUSY DAY TO SEE THE SING PRAISE SHOW. THE GROUP WAS NOT JUST PERFORMERS BUT YOU COULD TELL THEY REALLY LOVED THE LORD. I WAS SO GLAD TO SEE THAT GOD WAS REPRESENTED IN A FAMILY THEMED PARK.
WE WILL BE BACK AND WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOLIDAY WORLD TO ANYONE WE MEET.

A visit to Holiday World has been a tradition in our family since I was a little girl and it was Santa Claus Land. We have recently begun making our annual visit on Labor Day and it has always been great. The crowd seems smaller, wait times are less, etc.
We recently took a vacation to Washington DC. While we were there we took our kids age’s 10 and 14 to Six Flags America. We visited there mid-week so the crowd size was small as was the wait time. It had both a theme park and a water park like Holiday World does. The theme park did offer a different experience with giant steel coasters, which our son had never experienced. However we noticed that the park was not nearly as clean and the staff was not nearly as professional and friendly.
In the afternoon, we ventured to the water park. This is where we were all in agreement that there is no place like Splashin' Safari! There were not nearly as many waterslides, especially the larger slides we could do as a family. It was very difficult to navigate through due to all of the game and merchandise booths. They had one wave pool and I think that the kids waited at least 20 minutes for 5 minutes of waves. The lazy river was simply a moving waterway...none of the attractive water features and fountains like you have at Splashin' Safari. The bathrooms and changing rooms were not clean and had a horrible odor. What really got us was the large booth as you enter which rented inner tubes. It was very misleading...they did provide tubes...they just tried to get you think you needed to rent one.
In relationship to other costs, here are a few other ways that Holiday World tops other parks. The tickets for this park were $50 per person. No free sun screen. The drinks were far from free. We were able to buy a reusable cup in which we could get free refills in for the day...for 13 dollars. However it was a chore to get someone to refill the cup. At 3 of the larger coasters, you had to rent a one time use locker for a dollar to store your belongings while you rode the coaster. The all day locker rental was $11 for a small locker and $15 for a family locker, with no deposit refunded.
Thank you so much for providing such a clean and family-friendly park that is so affordable and close to home.
We can't wait to visit this year on Labor Day!

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful your park is. My family goes to Holiday World at least once every summer. Any time we have family down from other states we always take them to Holiday World. Your park is the cleanest and has such polite workers. We have always enjoyed our trips there.
We recently went to a theme park this summer in Wisconsin and it makes us appreciate the theme park we have here at home. We have been to ones in Kentucky, Wisconsin and Minnesota and not a one of them has a home atmosphere like Holiday World.
We have also noticed that Holiday World puts safety first for all riders. If one of the rides is broken no one gets to ride it until its fixed. Some of the other parks do not care much for safety.
Just wanted to let you know what a great job I feel that the owners and workers of Holiday World are doing. Please keep up the good work. We will be back again next summer along with our family that’s coming down from Minnesota.
Have a Wonderful Summer,
Jeremiah, Tammy, Austin and Jaris H.
P.S. My kids are only 10 and 12 and they compare other parks to Holiday World too and notice the big differences. Great Job!!!

Just wanted to say we were in Santa Claus the weekend of July 10-13 for a softball tournament. I had never heard of Holiday World before even though I have a 13 yr old daughter.
We loved it very much. It was very clean and very friendly. The rides were great. I think the Voyage is the best roller coaster I've ever been on. And I've ridden a few I'm 47!!
I was also very impressed with the message at the water park saying to wear decent clothing. It was not offensive and to the point. Also the guards in the water park were very attentive polite and well-trained. We noticed them being tested with a baby-sized dummy.
We were very impressed with your park and will be back next year. Keep up the good work.
We live 45 minutes from Six Flags in St. Louis but I would rather drive the 4 hours to visit your Park! Maybe you could give them some pointers!!!
Thank-you,

We just came back from our 2nd trip to your park. This time we brought guests (another family and their children) and camped at Lake Rudolph. This allowed us to take advantage of the 2nd day pass for $20.00.
We all had a blast and loved the rides, hospitality, and inexpensive food. I also noticed that every employee at the park was genuinely friendly and doing their best at their job. That alone makes me want to come back again next year.
The only downside was lack of rides for my six year old. He was a 1/4 inch shy of the mark to ride some of the thrill rides in Holiday World so he got left out. I don't know what the solution is (if any) but that was the only "bad" experience in the park. He did, though, get to do quite a bit in Splashin' Safari.
Anyway, again, great job overall and we'll definitely be back and most likely bring more people with us!

My family and I visited your park on Monday.I just wanted to tell you how pleased (thrilled, actually) we were with your handling of food allergies. We were able to dine at two of your restaurants without any problems.
Our son has multiple food allergies and your staff worked hard to protect him and give him a wonderful experience. They were educated about the seriousness of food allergies and were very helpful.
Also, I'd like to thank you for having food allergy information easily available on your website and in the restaurants themselves.
Thank you so much!
We had an awesome visit and we will be back soon!!!

I know many people normally e-mail places when there is a problem or if they are dissatisfied. However, I wanted to make sure you were notified of all the positive things I saw in your park recently. My wife and I and some friends visited your park this past weekend. I have not been to the park for many years but was incredibly impressed with your park and your staff.
I noticed attendants picking up trash and removing the garbage from the garbage cans even where people were waiting to get on rides. I also noticed how alert the lifeguards were watching all areas of the water park. In addition, as the roller coaster left the station at the Voyage, the attendant watched closely to make sure each person that passed by had a secure seatbelt. Finally, every attendant we met was very friendly and smiled which I believe helps guests have a great time!
I recently lost my job this year and it was very nice to get away for the day to such a low stress destination to just have fun with my wife and friends. We are hoping to come back again before you close this season if our budget allows.
I think you and your staff should be commended on operating such a clean, friendly, and family-oriented environment to the public and continuing to add rides that rank among some of the top rides in the area. Awesome job by the way on the Pilgrim's Plunge!
We have already told our family and will be telling many friends about our experience.
Keep up the great work!

My family just visited this past Friday! We had a great time while spending the day!
With all the cups of free drinks, the park was spotless and the staff was pleasant!
My kids are already asking; when can we go back!?!?!
Thanks again for a great time!!!!!!

We brought our 2 and 5 year old daughters to your park for the first time yesterday and we all had a great time, despite the oddly chilly weather.
The dive show was fantastic, the park has many fun kids rides, the food is reasonably priced (I was literally shocked to get 3 ice creams for $5 and dinner for 4 people was only $13.), the free drinks are very nice, and the playground in Holidog's area is amazing.
We will certainly be coming back again next year!
Thanks!

I wanted to write to you all and tell you how wonderful our experience at Holiday World was on Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18th.
While we were there we experienced true care and concern from all of the employees. Everyone was so friendly and kind.
The free parking and soft drinks was great. It was so cost efficient to take our family on this vacation.
We were very impressed with how our children were measured before getting on every ride. My daughter is 48 inches exactly. She was measured every time without fail to make sure she was tall enough.
Splashin' Safari was so much fun as well.
While we were there on Saturday we were extremely impressed with the attendant named Chad working on the Revolution. It was our 3rd time riding that ride and it made a bump going up. After it stopped my husband told him that it hadn’t done that the other two times and he immediately called maintenance and did not let anyone on until it was checked out and tested. We felt much safer seeing him do that. Even if there was nothing wrong with the ride, just knowing that he had it checked out just in case was awesome.
We were also impressed with the attendants not allowing people to cut in line. There were some long lines (to be expected), but any time an attendant, no matter what the ride, saw a person cut in line, they automatically made the person go to the end. It made for the lines to move much faster.
The whole place was very clean.
We were so impressed with the prices of the food and the souvenirs.
We live 3-1/2 hours away from Holiday World. In comparison to the amusement park that is about an hour and half away from us the prices are so much better, not even counting the free parking and drinks.
Overall, it was just a wonderful experience. We are so happy we went.
Thank you for such a fun family trip. We will definitely be back in the future.
Sincerely,
Meredith Z. and Family

My fiancé and I have both fallen victim to our ever struggling economy. While I have a job locked in health care, my fiancé has fallen on hard times at his place of employment. Often times he's sent home after only working 2 hours a day. He's the "bread winner" of our house, so our financial support is seventy percent based on him. Our paydays are now stressful and extremely negative as we struggle to figure out who gets what bill that month. Our house payment continues to rise with the taxes, and at times, we find ourselves struggling to even cope with having that happen.
Needless to say, our 3 year old daughter never gets to enjoy the perks of having 2 working parents. While she has everything she needs, I know deep down there are things she also wants as well. What little 3 year old girl wouldn't want? She would watch Disney World commercials on TV and ask when she could visit. She would point out amusement parks in magazines and ask about them, etc.
Remembering who we were supporting first, we started a small fund to take our daughter to a theme park. We deemed her old enough to understand what goes on and also old enough to ride the rides. Finally, our goal, however small to others was much larger to us, was met.
We had heard so much praise from friends and family about how affordable and how much fun Holiday World was. I can remember riding the sea horses and bumper boats when I was just a tot myself. We figured it would be the best place to go being only 2 hours away.
July 12-14 we stayed in an RV at Lake Rudolph. The 12th and the 13th we ventured to Holiday World. Before even entering the park my daughter saw the giant Holiday World tower as we drove past and became excited. I remember her eyes lighting up as she said, “Mommy! I think we're here!"
When we entered the park, she continued the excitement. After getting her picture taken with the statue of Santa at the very beginning of the day, she looked at my fiancé and me and said with a smile, "Mommy, this is the best place I've ever been!" She hadn't even been more than one hundred feet inside the place.
To our surprise, we were thrilled to see how family-oriented this place really is. And I'm not just saying that to be cliché, this is an honest opinion. I have never seen prices as low as Holiday World had. We had only a small amount of money to use for games and food, but that money nearly doubled when we saw the prices. I couldn't believe my daughter could have a meal for under $4.
The Pepsi Oasis' were amazing. I could not believe that we were walking in and out of places only to get free drinks. I could not believe that there was a theme park that honored this and I was so taken away by this simple act! Not only that; but the free tanning lotion. This park met our needs in every aspect we needed. When we were famished, we found ourselves in an air conditioned building or stopping for a free drink. When we were tired of walking, at every turn was a place to sit. This park was just so comfortable and accommodated everything we could have eventually complained about.
The rides were just as great as I remember. This was the first time my daughter had ever rode any amusement rides and needless to say she hasn't stopped talking about them. At perfect height, she could ride things such as the Turkey Whirl (which she tells us was her favorite), Scarecrow Scrambler, Frightful Falls, the Raging Rapid ride, etc. When they first started, her face was priceless. She wasn't sure whether she should be terrified or be having a good time. After she realized what goes on, the giggles were burned into our memories forever. She had such a great time. As the Turkey Whirl spun, my fiancé stood beside the ride staying with the stroller. I rode the ride with my daughter and as we went around I could hear her laughing hysterically and calling out for her daddy. It nearly melted my heart to see how much joy she had.
Walking into the HoliDazzle show, our daughter had just awoken from a nap after the Splashin’ Safari. From the moment "Sparkle" walked out our daughter’s eyes were fixated. She smiled, danced, laughed, sang, and just had a great time. We couldn't leave without her getting to say hi to her new favorite fictional character.
I felt like I needed to just extend my gratitude to the staff at Holiday World for making our first family adventure such a positive one at such negative times for us. I also just want to personally thank Pat Koch for keeping this park in amazing condition and remembering who it's for; the families. Holiday World made our vacation possible and I can guarantee I couldn't have said that about any other theme park. We couldn't have afforded to venture to another one.
I've never been to a theme park where I've walked in and seen the owner walking around asking people if they're doing ok, etc. Pat Koch, to me, is an amazing person, inspiring even. I've never been so taken back by someone in my life, and her amazing kindness at her park nearly had me in tears as we left and I saw her standing there smiling to everyone and giving a kind wave to a group of small children. I was in awe to the fact that she is so hands on. It takes a special someone to do the kind of simple, yet meaningful things she does.
Call me hormonal, but as I write this, I'm also tearing up. It's just so great to see someone so selfless and putting the needs of others as her priority. I hope she inspires others to follow in her footsteps and I praise her for everything she has accomplished and will accomplish. I know she's inspired me and I look forward to returning to the park next year.
I just never thought one of the most selfless acts I'd ever see was through an owner of an amusement park.
From our family, a million thanks.

I just wanted to tell you that this summer will be our sixth time to be at the park.
We are always pleased to find it so clean and the people so friendly there.
My family looks so forward to it every summer. We usually make two trips there but this year can only make it once.
We will see you on August 4th or 5th and will bring the other grandson with us this time which has never made it there.
Thank you for providing a family atmosphere at such an affordable price. But more than anything thank you for all of the friendly caring people who have who work there.
See you in August.

I just wanted to say that my family came yesterday to Holiday World for the first time ever and I can’t say enough good things about your place!!!
It was SO clean and more importantly, the staff/workers were SO friendly and courteous, which means so much to me, especially since many places have teenagers who display poor customer service.
I will recommend you to everyone I know and we live in Louisville, Kentucky!

I visited your park on Sunday, July 12, with my daughter and her family.
I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the cleanliness of the entire park. Your staff does an amazing job and I can say this because I have worked with the public for many years in restaurant and retail establishments and I know how difficult it is, especially when it comes to keeping the restrooms clean.
The helpfulness of the staff is an added plus, as are the free soft drinks and sunscreen. I don't see any reason to ever visit any other amusement park!
Thank you for a wonderful family experience.

We just returned from visiting your park, and I felt obligated to let you know what a wonderful time we had there. I’m assuming most people write to complain, so I wanted to be sure to let you know what an awesome job everyone is doing at Holiday World. There wasn’t one person there that wasn’t polite, knowledgeable, or helpful.
My husband and I had never heard of Holiday World until just 3 months ago from a friend of a friend, and once I looked at your website, I was encouraged that this would be the perfect first family trip to bring our 3-½ year old daughter on. I was not disappointed. From the free parking, to the price of admission, to the free drinks and sunscreen, to the economical food choices, to the clean park, to the amazing people, rides and water park, we were extremely impressed and cannot stop talking about it.
We live in St. Louis, and are accustomed to Six Flags, and were blown away by what a difference there was between the two parks. I can honestly tell you that we will not be going back to Six Flags ever again.
On top of everything else (I could go on and on about The Voyage and Pilgrims Plunge), I was pleased and most impressed that you all are so concerned about allergies. My daughter has a peanut allergy, and so of course, I am constantly concerned with where we go and what we eat. Here, I didn’t have to worry. Everyone I came in contact with was knowledgeable about where we could go and what we could and couldn’t eat. AMAZING!
So, thank you. Thank you for a wonderful first family vacation and here’s to many more at Holiday World!
Yours,
Alison H.

As a person who appreciates my days off from policing I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for the great time my family had last week.
What a great park!
This is our second time within a month and we still keep saying we need to go back before the end of summer.
Thank you again for making my daughter’s summer fabulous.

I just wanted to tell you how much my family and I enjoyed our recent visit to Holiday World!
It has been longer than twenty years since my last visit; I was pleasantly surprised to find that the park had grown in size, but had not lost the small, family-friendly atmosphere that I remembered.
The park's cleanliness and maintenance, friendly and helpful staff, and affordably priced food and gift shop items were a welcome change from the many vacation parks I've visited.
I was also pleased to hear gospel music coming from one of the show theaters - how refreshing.
I still can't believe you have free stuff!!! Free soda, free parking, free sunscreen, free wristbands, and free ponchos which, unfortunately, we found useful as it poured the day we were there. I know this must be tough to keep up when everyone else is making cutbacks and raising prices.
My family and I will visit again, and it won't take twenty years.
Thank you for providing a great opportunity for affordable, family-friendly entertainment.

Our family just returned from our first visit to Holiday World (July 14). I just wanted to let you know what a great time we had and how much I appreciate the great value you are providing at your park.
I tried purchasing tickets online but the system was not working correctly. My thoughts were, “Oh no, this is going to be a lousy experience.” I placed a call and was transferred to voicemail. Figured I would have to wait a couple of days to get a call-back. I heard back from someone within the hour and got the tickets purchased.
When we arrived, we were not sure which window to go to. We ended up at the wrong window, but the staff member walked to another window, retrieved our tickets, and brought them to us. Combine that kind of service with free parking and I’m already having a great day!
I had heard about the free drinks and kept waiting for the “small-print” catch. Not only was there no catch, there was free sunscreen also!
Later that day we tried the Zoombabwe Grill for lunch. I had read online that they served Gluten-free bread for sandwiches. We were served by Katherine who did an incredible job of giving us answers on what was available and finding answers for things she did not know. My daughter had a gluten-free hamburger and I had a gluten-free chicken sandwich. There was even a gluten-free cookie to replace the standard issue chocolate-chip cookie. Incredible! I was absolutely blown away. I know the trouble and expense for providing allergen friendly menus. Thank you!
Holiday World’s theme for the day seemed to be: We know we could be making more money but that is not our primary goal here!
Thank you again for providing a great day of entertainment for our family.

I just got off the phone with your group sales representative and she was spectacularly nice! I just wanted to let you know. This is one of the reasons that we choose to drive to Holiday World every year for our team trip instead of Six Flags.
Thanks again for your hospitality.

We would like to thank the staff at Holiday World for the great first-time visit on July 7 & 8, 2009. We would especially like to thank and commend two of your workers who went above and beyond their duties.
While visiting the Bahari Wave pool, located on the back side with the bigger beach area, your employee, Daniel, gave us a plastic baggie to keep our money dry. My husband, Dennis, had asked if there was some place close to get a plastic bag to keep our money dry while in a fannie pack we had purchased earlier. Daniel provided us with our request. He was very pleasant and every time we saw Daniel working he always acknowledged us and spoke in a very friendly manner. We offered to buy his lunch for his "good deed of the day." However, Daniel informed us he could not accept this which I realize being a nurse, that no gifts can be exchanged for job duties. He should be well recognized for his outstanding employee appreciations.
Also, a worker named Brittany, I believe her name tag said, as well as supervisor had spoken very well of Holiday World and gave us recommendations for our 7-year-old daughter as far as rides were concerned. We had ran into her the night before while eating pizza. We informed her that we would be at the park again on the 8th and to say "hello" if she saw us.
Upon leaving the mexican food area we did run into her while she was working. She was sweeping up the park area. She should also be recognized for her efforts, well mannerism, and the fact she speaks in great terms when speaking of Holiday World.
I say KUDOS to both. Sometimes tourists take employees for granted and do not take the time and efforts to recognize their efforts.
Thanks to all, God Bless and see you next year for sure and if possible, this year again.
Oh! I almost forgot our 3-month-old miniture dashhound, Mr. Reggie, was well taken care of at the kennels and all whom worked there were very polite as well.
Sincerely,
The K. Family

I just wanted to commend you & your entire staff on such a fine amusement park. We recently organized a 1-day trip to your park with 40 other family members (7-6-09). It was an EXTREMELY enjoyable day for everyone.
The staff we encountered was very helpful & courteous, which I'm sure can be a challenge at times.
My wife & I enjoyed the 'family atmosphere' that was present. We felt safe allowing our children (8, 10, and 12) to wander the water park & enjoy it with their young cousins.
The price was very reasonable, including the cost for food. How do you do it?
I just wanted to say "THANK YOU." We will be back.

I wanted to express my heartfelt admiration on how well you park is run and the dedication that you have instilled in your workers.
I felt like I was 5 again in a time of the "sixties" when there were more of these types of parks. I grew up in Pennsylvania and we frequented several family-run parks and yours is a fine, fine park.
The staff is very friendly and this was a tremendous value and we WILL be back again.

We visited Holiday World yesterday for the first time. Leading up to it I had heard so many great things about the park, and yesterday did not disappoint me one bit.
I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the park, the helpful and courteous employees, the great selection of rides, the free drinks and parking and affordably priced food.
I have NO complaints about our experience there and despite the fact that the gate fee may be slightly higher than some of the deals that Kings Island offers, the well priced food, free parking and especially drinks made up for the difference by far.
I had heard the park is Christian owned and operated and if this is true, it makes sense and was very well reflected. What a great example of how a Christian business should be run. I will definitely return for years to come with my family.
Thanks again,
Steve O.

We have just returned from vacation and the first thing I wanted to do was to email you.
I am a member of ACE and I also have season passes to Cedar Fair. We visited 6 parks including yours. At the end of vacation your park is the only one we are talking about.
There are too many reasons to even write about. I can just say it was enjoyable and the memories will last a lifetime.
My children said when they grow up they will bring their families to your park.
I don't know how you do it but the free drinks and sunscreen just make it that much better.
I do wish you would add a steel coaster. The wooden ones are great but they do get rough over time. The only one I could ride twice was the Voyage. Even the kids did not want to go back for seconds.
I hope you have a great and successful summer. We hope to return in the future.
Thanks,

This may seem long, but it might just have some good meaning to it.
I am fifteen years old and I visited your park all the way from Western New York. I'm a coaster enthusiast and I have been on quite a few coasters and I've been to quite a few amusement parks such as Cedar Point, Kings Island, and dozens of others.
I heard from some good friends of mine that I would like your park. I looked into it and thought to myself, "Hmm, four coasters? I don't know if over ten hours of driving will do me that good." My friends continuously begged me to see you guys. The Voyage looked like a great coaster so I thought I should give it a shot.
At this time, my favorite park would be Cedar Point, followed by Universal and Kings Island. My favorite coasters were like many others, Magnum XL-200, Diamondback, Top Thrill Dragster, etc.
Anyway, it was a long trip down but we made our way there and parked near the entrance.
My first thoughts coming into your Christmas section was "Wow, this place is so clean!"
When the park opened I rode The Legend and didn't think too much of it but either way, it's a very good wooden coaster. I knew that I wanted to hit up Voyage next.
I headed into the beautifully landscaped Thanksgiving area and walked onto the coaster. I have been on so many coasters, that this seemed like cake to me.
After the second drop on this coaster, I was yelling at the top of my lungs with joy. There is so much airtime! I was flying out of my seat on every hill and every turn. The turns are so intense and the whole coaster is relentless with so much speed. After one ride, it was obviously clear that it was the best coaster I have ever ridden! Let me tell you, in order to build a coaster like that, each and every dimension of track and every stat must be absolutely perfect. You guys pulled it off perfectly! It’s an amazing ride-worth the drive itself.
For the rest of the park, I loved it. Your prices at your food stands are cheaper than my local restaurants. The pizza was delicious (I'm also a pizza enthusiast). The free soft drinks were a novel idea. If I wasn't on a ride, I was carrying a drink with me all the time.
The employees were extremely kind. They were always smiling and would take my loose articles for me on rides. They looked like they enjoyed their jobs and had a good time at the park. This is so rare! Every other employee at other parks looks so miserable and wish they could be anywhere else than the park they work at. Your employees are well trained and they were very friendly with me.
As I said before, the park is the cleanest I've ever seen. I never saw one speck of litter lying around anywhere.
Also, your flat rides run on nice long cycles. Other flat rides I have ridden only cycle for about under 45 seconds.
On the topic of rides again, Voyage broke down twice, but was back up and running within 10 minutes. Great job with your maintenance!
I was only in your park for an hour when I realized I was in the best park I have ever been to. You guys should be the ones with the Golden Ticket Award for best-park.
I so strongly appreciate your service dedicated to your guests' enjoyment, I will return again and again annually. Thank you for providing me with 1st class service and amazing rides all within an unbeatable price.
Holiday World, keep up the awesome work!

I just wanted to let you know that I think the park is a WONDERFUL place to visit. My mom and my best friend and I were there with my kids on Thursday, and the lines were very short, the food was wonderful, and EVERYONE in the park was so friendly.
On the way out Thursday night my daughter tripped and scraped her knee. At one point we had 5 employees helping us - since it was after park closing, the first aid station was closed - Samantha even had a wallet full of band aids.
I have travelled the country, been to MANY other amusement parks, and NEVER have I seen that kind of reaction to a scraped knee! It was not even a very bad scrape. If she hadn't been tired, my daughter would have just shrugged it off. But the fact that everyone cared so much about making her feel better was VERY touching!
You must treat your employees VERY well, because every single one of them treat the guests at your park as if we are the only ones that matter. We visit your park often, and will continue to talk it up to all our friends.
Thank you for everything!

I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic experience at Holiday World. My grandmother used to take me every year (starting in 1987 as a seven year old; (I still have the fold out picture of me with Santa). I restarted the annual tradition last year.
I absolutely love your roller coasters (I rode each of them four times to commemorate my recent fourth wedding anniversary) as well as the overall atmosphere of the park. And the free Pepsis sure doesn't hurt either!
I most definitely am looking forward to my trip next year and I hope this time my wife can come with me to see the park even if she can't ride most of the rides (she has a pacemaker).
And to Pat Koch and Santa, thanks so much again for signing/personalizing my Holiday World picture book last year!

We would like to thank the staff at Holiday World for the great, first-time visit July 7 & 8, 2009. We would especially like to thank and commend two of your workers who went above and beyond their duties.
While visiting the wave pool located on the back side with the bigger beach area, an employee named Daniel gave us a plastic baggie to keep our money dry. My husband, Dennis, had asked if there was some place close to get a plastic bag to keep money dry while in a fannie pack we had purchased earlier. Daniel provided us with our request. He was very pleasant and every time we saw Daniel working, he always acknowledged us and spoke in a very friendly manner. We offered to buy his lunch for his "good deed of the day." However, Daniel informed us he could not accept this. I realize, being a nurse, that no gifts can be exchanged for job duties. He should be well recognized for his outstanding employee appreciations.
Also a worker named Stephanie, I believe her name tag said, as well as supervisor, had spoken very well of Holiday World and made recommendations for our 7 yr daughter as far as rides were concerned. We had run into her the night before while eating pizza. We informed her that we would be at the park again on the 8th and to say "hello" if she saw us.
While visiting the next day, upon leaving the Mexican food area, we did run into Stephanie while she was working. She was sweeping up the park area. She should also be recognized for her efforts, well mannerism, and the fact she speaks in great terms when speaking of Holiday World.
I say KUDOS to both. Sometimes tourists take employees for granted and do not take the time and effort to recognize their efforts.
Thanks to all, God Bless and see you next year for sure or possibly this year again.
Oh! I almost forgot our 3 month old miniature daushund, Mr. Reggie, was well taken care of at the kennels and all whom worked there were very polite as well.
Sincerely,
Dennis, Cheryl, Kalea (K-lay-uh), Mr. Reggie K.

I visited Holiday World and Splashin' Safari with my 10 year old son on Tuesday, July 6, 2009. We had an excellent time.
We usually go to Kings Island every year for an amusement park vacation but decided to try something new. Holiday World is our new favorite amusement park.
Most all of your employees were so nice and polite.
I appreciated the unlimited soft drinks and your very reasonable food prices. Nothing there was a shock to my wallet as most amusement parks are.
I also wanted to mention a certain employee. I did not get her name, but she sat next to me in Kima Bay. It was her day off and she told me that she worked in Guest Relations and has been at Holiday World for three years (she is a school secretary and treasurer during the school year). This lady was so very nice. She asked me what we thought of the park. I told her how pleased I was with our decison to come. She stated that she has a season pass and even on her days off she wants to come to work and enjoy Holiday World. Even though she was not "on the clock" she answered my questions and it was easy to tell that she truly enjoys working there.
I again want to thank you for providing such a good time for me and my son. We absolutely loved Splashin' Safari.
You have a beautiful park.
This was truly an affordable vacation and we plan on returning soon!

I just wanted to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed our visit on June 24 and 25.
We found the parks to be all of the things for which they are so highly rated. They were clean. All of the staff were very friendly. The price was right for food. While I thought the free drinks were a "nice" perk before we arrived, I decided they were a "great" perk as we departed (it was extremely hot the two days we visited).
I thought Splashin' Safari, hands down, was the best water park we have ever visited.
I have been to Disney World at least 40 times. While Holiday World/Splashin' Safari doesn't have all of the "bells and whistles" that Disney has, it's also nice to not have to pay for them.
Thanks for a great time!

Yesterday was my first visit to your park and I just had to let you know what a pleasure it was. I was a chaperone for a group of youth from First Baptist Church.
This is by far the cleanest park and (as the brochure states) the friendliest staff of any park I have ever been to.
I loved the praise and worship show along with the diving show.
The roller coasters are awesome and the new Pilgrims Plunge was fantastic as well.
The food was fair priced and the free drinks are a huge plus.
I have already sent your link to friends and family in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.
I will be bringing my family back very soon.
Thanks,
Jeff S.

On June 24, 2009, my family and I visited Holiday World with our church group. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our visit there.
During our visit we spent alot of time on the various rides and in the wave pools of the water park. A good way to spend a very hot day.
However, while we were in the water park our 5 year old daughter, Hannah, got sunscreen in her eyes twice. Both times we took her to the First Aid Station located at the front of the water park due to the lotion burning her eyes.
When we got there a medic named Steve attended to our daughter and washed her eyes out. She was unsure about it at first and wasn't very cooperative but Steve made her feel safe and her eyes feel better.
When we went there the second time she asked again for Steve and once again he took good care of her.
My Wife and I just wanted to let you know how great Steve was with our daughter and that we would like to say "Thanks!" for having a wonderful staff member like him.
We look forward to visiting Holiday World again soon.
Thank you!

Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had when we were there on June 5, 2009! After visiting both Six Flags in Chicago and Disney World, I have to say that you are my family's new favorite!!
The park was clean and well laid out.
The food prices were incredible - what a great surprise!
The free drinks were really free... and easily available. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we didn't have to wait in special lines or travel to the other end of the park to get a drink.
Your employees were friendly and it seemed like they really enjoyed going to work!!
My sister and her family are planning a visit next month.
We can't wait to come back.
Keep up the good work!!
Sincerely,
Linda G.

We just returned home from a two-day visit to Holiday World, and we wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it.
One thing that really stood out to us was the cleanliness of the park. Every restroom we visited looked like it had just been cleaned. Toilet paper and soap were never out of stock. While walking around the park, we never saw any cups, papers, or other trash anywhere on the ground. There were garbage cans everywhere, and none of them were ever overflowing. The garbage cans were even clean on the outside! There was never any graffiti anywhere, which is something we seem to find at so many other amusement parks. Also, your landscaping is so beautiful and very well-maintained.
All of the staff we encountered was extremely cordial and friendly. Their appearance was clean and well-kept.
All in all, we had a wonderful trip to your park, and we have recommended it to several friends since we returned home.
We'll definitely be back next year!

I just had to let you know how much fun my family and I had on our visit to your park. We came a couple weeks ago and you were right, the lines aren't very long in June. That made it more fun.
The park is so clean and the free drinks really helped us out on budget (we had 5 of our 8 kids with us).
We appreciated the kennel so we could have our dogs with us, although they didn't like that much. But that is a nice touch for families with dogs.
And most of all your staff are the friendliest people I've seen. Not just a few of them, ALL of the staff we came in contact with were sooo nice!! That is the biggest plus! It made it most enjoyable. They all told us to have fun and asked how we were doing. They looked like they enjoyed being there, not like it was a chore (like at some other parks).
And your lifeguards at the wave pool were so intense! They kept their eyes on the water at all times.
I just want to applaud you on making a great place to visit. I'm glad we chose your park and we'll be back!!!
Thanks,

We live close to Six Flags Great America, but came to Holiday World because we were visiting our extended family.
We were so impressed with your establishment. The employees were friendly, and it was nice to have rides for smaller children.
We absolutely have raved to our friends back home about the free parking, free sunscreen, and especially the free water and soft drinks throughout the day.
Thank you for the fun memories!
Sincerely,

Just wanted to say thank you.
I visited Holiday World with my daughter, her husband and my 2 grandchildren on Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1,2009. We had a blast.
I am so impressed in the cleanliness, the friendliness of the employees and all the amenities that you provide. Like the free drinks all the time you are there, the measuring station, and the sunscreen booth.
We also liked the variety of rides, the games to play, and the eating places to choose from. My grandchildren are only 2 and 5 but you had enough things for them to do also, like Reindeer Ranch and Holidog FunTown
.
We had a great time and hope to do it again.
Thank you again for providing such a fantastic amusement park and atomsphere.
Sincerely,

We recently visited Holiday World on Monday June 29, and Tuesday June 30. We LOVED it.
We invited a family to come with us and had a blast. It was great.
I have two children 10 and 5, and having experienced Disney on spring break of this year, we still had more fun at your theme park.
We would come back tomorrow if we could but we'll save up and try it again next year.
I thank you from our family and provided the ecomony doesn't hit rock bottom, we'll see ya next year, (or who knows, maybe this year again). When we come next time, we may stay a few more days.
Thanks,
