First off, I would love to tell you that the Holiblog is one of many great things Holiday World has come up with in the years since I've been coming to the park.
My family and I have been to Holiday World twelve out of the last fifteen years.
We've tried Kentucky Kingdom, King's Island, Universal Studios, and Disneyland. And through it all, there is no other park we would rather go to year after year than Holiday World.
My mom and I sat down a few weeks ago and tried to remember Holiday World before the roller coasters and ever before Splashin' Safari. We were wondering if you had a list of every ride and what year it was put in to place at the park. Once again, thanks for all the great memories for my family year after year.
Thanks,

I just wanted to let you guys know what a wonderful time we had this past weekend.
It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last.
Our boys, ages 5 and 6, had a fantastic time and are already asking to go
back.
We really appreciated the family atmosphere that you don't get at places like Kentucky Kingdom and Kings Island. We have recommended it highly to several families. It was so affordable and the free pepsi is an incredible deal. Keep up the good work and we will see you guys again in August.
Thanks so much,

P.S. the staff was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

We wanted to thank you for another fun family trip to Holiday World!
We attended the parks June 6 & 7. We live in southwestern Illinois and have been visiting Holiday World with our children for the past three years.
Our boys (ages 3 and 4...with one on the way) look forward to this trip every year.
They start in mid-May by dragging out the picture albums of our past vacations and begging daddy to play the videos of the rides they rode last year.
It is so refreshing to attend a FAMILY FRIENDLY park. The staff is extremely polite and friendly.
Everyone is helpful and we love the way the staff interacts with our children. They smile with them, laugh with them and get excited with them.
Our boys look forward to the "high-fives" every year as they ride the rides made especially for the little guys!
We love the soda, sunscreen and inner tubes. The food is reasonable and always well prepared and the park is beautifully clean...we even saw Pat Koch sweeping at Splashin' Safari this year!
Keep up the good work. We appreciate your park, your staff and your family friendly atmosphere.
See you next year!

I've been to other theme parks (Disney, Six Flags, and Indiana beach) but my favorite is still Holiday World.
I've only missed out on going to HW one summer since I was 6, and I'm 21 now, but most years I come twice.
The other parks were too crowded and I had to stand in line for 4 hours at Disney for one ride. that was no fun. This year I am coming for my anniversary with my boyfriend.
I can't wait.

Our Junior High School youth group from Lakeridge Christian Church in Paris, Ill., visited Holiday World this past weekend
I was fortunate to join my son and help chaperone 40 plus kids on this trip.
Our trip was wonderful!
Several times a couple of the kids decided they wanted to something different than what a few of the others were doing.
We spent the morning in Splashin' Safari. (Oh yea all the boys in my group said Bahari Rocked!)
After some of us wanted tacos and few others wanted corn dogs.
I was able to get my tacos and allow the two other kids to go get their corn dog unassisted or chaperoned.
As I felt totally secure and at ease with letting them roam HW without supervision.
(Funny part tho is they found corn dogs up by Holidog’s tree house but did not want to buy them there because they were by the “Kiddie” area and did not want to risk their friends thinking they were up there for the rides! GRIN)
Thank you so much for HW – It is SUCH A family friendly place.
I am hoping to return with the rest of my family again this year.
The only disappointment the trip was that the Raven was down and I did not get to ride it.
SO I WILL Have to come back for sure now!
Thanks again.

Just wanted to say thanks for keeping Holiday World a family friendly place.
Your park is so clean!
I also appreciate requiring people to wear clothing over their swimsuits when they are outside of the waterpark.
That was something that always bothered me about some of the other amusement parks. eg (KI) It's kind of embarrassing standing in a roller coaster line with the person's gut or whatever else hanging out.
We are from Indianapolis and we meet my side of the family from St Louis at your park once a year. It's the perfect driving distance for both of our families.
P.S. The courtesy and smiles of your workers truly does make a difference. Keep up the good work!!!

You know I'm not one of those guys who sends emails or letters to businesses. I don't call talk radio programs, just not my thing.
However, I want to thank you guys for the hard work that you do.
In a past life I worked in the customer service area for a major university in Atlanta. I know the time, training and commitment that it take to reach the level of excellence that you have achieved.
The truth is there are always more roller coasters, log rides, wave pools and funnel cake stands. The only thing that you have to truly offer is service to your customers.
My family and I came to visit on 06/03/05. It was one of those wet, cloudy days. We had to break the ice on the new wave pool and scare the penguins away (it was cold).
We might have had a bad experience but due to your staff, attention to customer needs and overall pricing structure for food and gifts we had a great day. (We will be back this July when it is warmer.)
I know the attention needed to maintain this level of excellence. I know the great amount of time and effort needed, but it is worth it.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a clean, friendly, affordable place for me to take my family.
I have seen the park grow from what it was in 1967 when I was first taken to sit on Santa's lap, I still have the picture, to what it is now. Yeah it has changed but I still feel the spirit and love that existed from my youth.
It makes my day to be greeted by Mrs. Koch as we come in and many times she is there to say good-bye.
That is the real deal.
Thanks for your hard work; it is appreciated.

My family and I were enjoying a wonderful day at your park on June 1, 2005. when a mother's worst nightmare came to be, one of my youngest twin daughters was missing.
I am a single mother of five children to include a son and two sets of twin daughters.
My sister and I were franticly looking for her when I came upon Pat Koch who immediately took charge and had everyone in the park looking for her.
My little Sierra was found within five minutes.
Mrs. Koch stayed with me until I was reunited with my daughter and made me feel like everything would be ok.
After I had Sierra back she even told me a personal story about how she lost one of her boys in Washington Square Mall and when she found him he was happily eating suckers with the police.
I will enjoy bringing my children there all season and feel safe in the knowledge that in the event the unthinkable happens and one of them is missing, the very compassionate Pat Koch is there running a very secure park with the most caring and friendly staff I have ever seen.
Thank you so very much.
