Height & Weight Restrictions

For your safety...

For the safety of our Guests, height and weight restrictions are strictly enforced on all applicable rides and attractions. Guests are carefully measured with shoes on at Holiday World and with shoes off at Splashin' Safari. (Please note that the Guest's feet, including the heels, must be flat on the ground when he or she is measured, and the top of the head - not hair - is measured.)

The following rides in Holiday World have minimum height restrictions. These heights are measured with shoes on. Maximum weight restrictions are also listed where appropriate.

  • New for 2012! Sparkler: 42" to ride with adult 18 or older, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult
  • Doggone Trail: 42" to ride unaccompanied by adult 18 or older; seatbelt extenders available
  • Eagle's Flight: 36" to ride with adult 18 or older, 42" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 400 pounds per bird; maximum of 2 adults per bird; seatbelt extenders available
  • Frightful Falls: 36" to ride with adult 18 or older, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 680 pounds per log
  • Gobbler Getaway: 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult 18 or older; maximum total weight limit of 880 pounds per 4-seat car
  • HallowSwings: 48" to ride
  • The Howler: 36" to ride with adult 18 or older, 42" to ride unaccompanied by adult
  • The Legend: 48" to ride; bench seats have a seat divider, base of each seat is 16 inches across, each seat has an individual seat belt which encircles a maximum of 68 inches when fully extended (the ends attach in the back corners); there are individual lap bars that pull down and must be latched; there is a test seat available for Guests to try before getting in the queue
  • Lewis & Clark Trail: drivers under 42” must ride with taller front-seat passenger; maximum total weight limit of 400 pounds per 2-seat cars and 800 pounds per 4-seat cars; minimum of 2 riders per car; absolutely no standing
  • Liberty Launch: 48" to ride
  • Pilgrims Plunge: 48" to ride with shoes on, 47" to ride barefoot; maximum total weight limit of 1,750 pounds per boat
  • Raging Rapids: 36" to ride with adult 18 or older, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 1,360 pounds per 8-person raft; seat belts encircle a maximum of 57 inches when fully extended (sorry, no seat belt extenders, as per the manufacturer); there is a test seat available for Guests to try before getting in the queue
  • The Raven: 48" to ride; bench seats have a seat divider, base of each seat is 15 inches across, each seat has an individual seat belt which encircles a maximum of 62 inches when fully extended (the ends attach in the back corners); there are individual lap bars that pull down and must be latched; there is a test seat available for Guests to try before getting in the queue
  • Reindeer Games: 42" to ride; maximum weight of 165 pounds per seat
  • Revolution: 42" to ride
  • Rough Riders Bumper Cars: 42" to ride with adult 18 or older, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum of 2 riders per car
  • Rudolph's Round-Up: 36" to ride; maximum weight of 170 pounds per individual seat and maximum total weight limit of 440 pounds per sleigh; maximum of 4 riders per sleigh; adults may ride (most comfortable for 5'7" and shorter)
  • Scarecrow Scrambler: 36" to ride with adult 18 or older, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum of 3 riders per vehicle
  • Star Spangled Carousel: riders under 42” must ride with adult 18 or older;  maximum weight of 200 pounds per animal, maximum total weight limit of 680 pounds per chariot
  • Turkey Whirl: 36" to ride with adult 18 or older, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 800 pounds per car; maximum of 5 riders or 4 adults per turkey
  • The Voyage: 48" to ride; bench seats have a seat divider, base of each seat is 15 inches across, each seat has an individual seat belt which encircles a maximum of 62 inches when fully extended (the ends attach in the back corners); there are individual lap bars that pull down and must be latched

The following attractions in Splashin' Safari have height restrictions.These heights are measured with shoes off.

  • New for 2012! Mammoth: 42" to ride with adult, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 1,050 pounds per 6-passenger Round Spinners boat or 1,400 pounds per 8-passenger Forward Fliers boat
  • AmaZOOM: 42” to ride
  • Bakuli: 42" to ride with adult, 48" to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 600 pounds per 4-passenger inner tube; maximum 4 riders per inner tube, including no more than 2 adults (an adult is 5'6" or taller on this ride); for safety reason we do not permit single riders
  • Bamboo Chute: 42” to ride
  • Crocodile Isle: under 54” or accompanied by a child under 54”
  • Jungle Racer: 42” to ride
  • Kima Bay: 36” to ride slides under 8’, 42” to ride slides over 8’; maximum weight of 300 pounds per slide; children under age 6 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Otorongo: 42” to ride with adult, 48” to ride unaccompanied by adult
  • Safari Sam's SplashLand: under 54” or accompanied by a child under 54”
  • Watubee: 36” to ride with adult, 48” to ride unaccompanied by adult; maximum total weight limit of 800 pounds per raft; maximum of 5 riders per raft or 4 adults per raft (an adult is 5'6" or taller on this ride); for safety reason we do not permit single riders
