We appreciate your patience as we do our best to deliver an excellent Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari experience, despite the challenges the last two years have caused.
We care deeply about your fun and safety, so we still ask that you do a few things to make everyone’s visit safer:
Check back often
Before you read the following information for your upcoming trip, remember that the world is still changing around us. We’ll continue to evaluate and update our policies as we go. Follow us on social media or check back to this page to make sure you have the most current information.
- Masks are recommended for all Guests while indoors, regardless of vaccination status
- Please continue to wash your hands frequently, or use one of the many hand “Santatizer” stations around the park
- Please continue to practice social distancing by keeping six feet of space between travel parties
- Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, you or someone in your travel party has been recently
exposed to Covid-19, or you or someone in your travel party has been asked to quarantine by local health officials.
We’ll work with you to visit another day.
All Guests should stay home and get tested if they have symptoms of COVID-19.
New Capacity Limits
Effective immediately, Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari will be capping daily attendance. Those who have already purchased Any Day Tickets, Multi-Day Flex Tickets, won tickets through Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, or who have any type of Season Pass do not need to make reservations. As with last year, we have already factored in those ticket types for each day.
Those who wish to purchase a single-day visit will need to do so through our Pick Your Date Calendar. Your ticket purchase guarantees your spot for the day. If you won ticket vouchers from one of our partners, please follow the instructions on the voucher to redeem it online. If you need to change the date of your visit, we can help you do that by visiting Guest Relations on the day of your visit.
Next-Day Tickets will be available at Guest Relations before you leave the park for $30 as long as the next day’s ticket capacity has not been reached.
Please make sure you have a ticket before you depart to visit us!
In order to provide the best experience possible, hours on the following days will be as follows:
- August 28, Holiday World 10am-6pm, Splashin’ Safari 11-5pm
- September 4, Holiday World 10am-6pm, Splashin’ Safari 11-5pm
- September 5, Holiday World 10am-6pm, Splashin’ Safari 11-5pm
Please check our calendar for more information.
Attraction and Food Stand Availability
As many of our Team Members return to school as students, teachers, and aides, and are asked to stay at home for the protection of others, our staffing has become more unpredictable. As a result, we expect that we may need to rotate rides throughout the day or close some attractions for the entire day. We list attractions closed for the day here.
We’ll do our best to update any rotations or food stand closures as well. Please note that some food stands may have limited menu options as a result of supply chain issues.
Please note that some gift shops and games may close early this season due to limited prizes and souvenirs.
Our team is working hard to get more inventory, but it’s very challenging right now.
Guests no longer have to wait in line virtually this season however we still ask that you continue to practice social distancing in line.
We will be loading every row on roller coaster trains to help keep lines moving, and maximizing capacity as much as possible.
Guests are still welcome and encouraged to wear masks on rides.
We don’t plan to close any attractions due to social distancing this year but still may have closures due to maintenance, lightning, or other reasons. We list rides that are closed for the day here.
Once again, Season Passholders will not need to make reservations to visit.
If you purchased a 2020 Season Pass and didn’t use it, your pass has been automatically rolled over to 2021 free of charge. You may take your voucher to Season Pass Processing to get the pass processed (if you can’t find your voucher, don’t worry! We can look it up for you). If you visited during 2019 Happy Halloween Weekends and already had your 2020 Season Pass processed, but did not use the pass in the year 2020, you may use your pass to enter the park with no changes, unless your appearance has changed significantly since the last photo.
If you haven’t processed your Season Pass yet, you can do that any time the park is open.
Arrival & Bag Check
Our touchless security screenings will be even faster this year. All Guests must enter through the screening unit and should do so without removing wallets, keys, phones, bags, etc. Remove belongings from any wheelchairs, strollers, or wagons and carry them through the checkpoint. Our Security Team Members may still need to perform additional screening, so pay attention to their instructions. More information on our new bag check system as well as a list of prohibited items is available here. As always, weapons are not permitted in Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
Please continue to wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water as often as possible. When washing your hands isn’t an option, we’ll still have our 100 Hand “Santa-tizer” stations located around both parks. You’ll spot these colorful stations located near ride exits, food locations, and gift shops. Just look for the colorful red Santa suits.
While Santa is delivering vaccines around the world, he has made the time for virtual visits to his favorite summertime spot. Children can tell Santa their Christmas wishes in a video call at St. Nick’s gift shop at the front of the park through September 19. Santa’s Virtual Visit times are listed here.
Holidog and Friends will be back on stage at the Hoosier Celebration Theater for more socially distanced entertainment. We’ll be bringing back our regular stage shows to Hoosier Celebration Theater and Muziki Bay! ! Showtimes for each day are available here.
