A rainy-day podcast

Canvass PodcastAfter having all too much fun creating our own podcast this spring, we got a call (a tweet, actually) from Zach and Noah at the Evansville Courier & Press.

It seems they have a podcast, too. Called Canvass, it’s usually filled with politics and the latest opinions about breaking news stories. But with the start of summer, they wanted to switch it up and asked our #PodSquad to be their guests.

We like to talk. We said “yes.”

And so, on a particularly rainy day last week, Zach and Noah arrived at my office door with a clap of thunder (I almost didn’t let them in!). We grabbed some umbrellas and made our way over to Matt’s office for our chat.

Callie on the Job

Our 24th Play Day

Such a fun day!

As has happened many times in the past 24 years, on Play Day the weather forecast was a bit iffy. Happily, the storms held off until after all the buses had returned their precious cargo back to school. Amanda from WEVV-TV in Evansville had a ball putting together this wonderful story about our day:

And guess what I learned yesterday – it’s not just us! Pam from the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville told me they’re also celebrating their 70th birthday this year. We’re so grateful to the kind and caring folks at The Rehab Center for using Play Day funds to help so many dear children over the years.
