SANTA CLAUS, IND.—–The team of lifeguards at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari received official notice this week that they earned a Platinum International Aquatic Safety Award in 2016.
The crew of 150 lifeguards received “exceeds” scores in all categories of their third-party safety audits last season.
“Only ten percent of the aquatic teams who underwent these safety audits worldwide received ‘platinum’ awards,” says park president, Matt Eckert. “And even more impressive, our lifeguards received a perfect score on all of their audits. We’re incredibly proud of their dedication to keeping our park Guests safe.”
The International Aquatic Safety Awards is part of the Lifeguard Training Program implemented by Jeff Ellis & Associates, which includes unannounced safety audits throughout the season.
Hiring is underway for this season’s lifeguards, slide attendants, ride operators, and more as the park fills 2,200 seasonal positions. Open Interviews will be conducted at the park this Saturday, from 9am to 4:30pm CST. For more information, visit HolidayWorldJobs.com or call 1-877-463-2645.
