When I was a teenager, my parents gave me a Casio keyboard for the holidays. That was the best gift. 🙂

We never had much of a Christmas growing up my mom was a single mother who was just trying to make ends meet. And now i understand her struggle. One year i was struggling to get my children gifts and one year Santa sent us an angel and lots of gifts for my girls just seeing the excitement in their faces was the best gift santa could ever give me!!

The best present I ever got from Santa was a glow in the dark teddy bear. I was scared of the dark and carried that guy everywhere. Somehow he made it through my childhood and no my daughter loves him!

The best gift that I ever received for Christmas was two years ago when a friend suggested we work the line at the soup kitchen. It was heartwarming to do something good with my 15 year old daughter by my side. So much better than a materialistic gift

The best Christmas present I have gotten so far is learning I was pregnant with my son in ’85. Unfortunately he didn’t make it the entire 9months (no thanks to his dad), but carrying him and then holding him before they took him to the Morgue was the best gift ever. Since then I have had 3 beautiful girls and we would love to come and visit. Thanks!!

    Another message!! (sorry!!)

    Wanted to share mine though.

My mother still fills a stocking for me and my sister every year, even though we are in our 30s. She always includes $10 (or so) lottery scratch-off ticket in there. My lotto ticket that was part of my stocking last year was a $500 winner.

I felt guilty keeping it all to myself so I gave my Mom half for buying the winning ticket, and used the other half towards my Lasik surgery that I had earlier this year. It’s kinda expensive and every little bit helps. And I think the thrill of winning and how my Mom reacted to the news was honestly even more fun than the money itself. Thanks Mom!
