Why should I work at Holiday World?

Do you offer flexible scheduling?

Yes! When you apply, just let us know what your availability will be. We have many Team Members who can only work weekends or evenings–we’ll do our best to find the perfect spot for you! 

What’s the pay rate?

Our starting rate for Team Members 16+ is $13/hr. Returning Team Members receive an additional $0.50/hr. Team Members aged 14-15 make $7.25/hr. Holiday World offers increased rates for specialized positions such as mowing and bus drivers.

PLUS, we offer an incredible range of job perks. Each Team Member receives a personal Season Pass to enjoy the parks on their days off, plus two free uniforms. Team Members earn points for every hour worked, which can be redeemed for HoliCash, Amazon gift cards, iPads, Fitbits, and more–and they can earn bonus points by referring more Team Members. Team Members also qualify for free admission to many midwestern amusement parks, as well as local attractions.   

What is Rapid Return?

Rapid Return allows rehire-eligible Team Members to return this season without reapplying or going through the full onboarding process again! Team Members will be able to accept their offer and work with their Supervisor to pick a reactivation date. After being reactivated, Team Members will be asked to acknowledge the handbook and any updated policies in Paylocity, authorize a background check (18+ only), and update any contact or payroll information.

How old do I have to be to apply?

Applicants must be 14 years old to apply for a job in Indiana. If an applicant is not 14 years old, the application will be placed on hold until the applicant is 14 years old.

What happens after I apply?

Shortly after applying, we will contact you to set up a time for a brief phone interview. Phone interviews generally take less than 15 minutes.

What happens after the phone interview?

We do our best to send candidates a response within two weeks of the phone interview.

What happens after I sign my offer letter? 

After you’ve signed your offer letter, you’ll need to complete the onboarding process. You will receive two emails from Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari for the onboarding packet: 

  • The first email contains a company code and username to our HRIS system
  • The second email contains a temporary password.

On either email, click the orange “View Task” button to log in and complete the onboarding packet. 

What should I do after I complete the online onboarding? 

To finish the onboarding process, new hires will need to visit the Holiday World Human Resources Office in person to finish the process. Please remember to bring in 2 forms of I.D. with you (one of which must be a photo I.D.).

Our HR Department is open and ready to help you with completing the in-person process 9 am – 5 pm CDT each day in May, June, and July.

I have submitted my documents online, do I still need to bring them with me to finish onboarding?

Yes, please bring these documents with you. Our Human Resources team needs to physically inspect each document before finishing the onboarding process.

Do I have to have a photo I.D. for onboarding?

Yes. We use E-Verify to validate documents, so one of the two forms of I.D. must contain a photo. For those under 18, a student I.D. Card, report card, or screenshot of a student portal from the school will be accepted as long as it contains a photo of the individual. 

What happens after I’m onboarded? 

After you have completed the onboarding process, you will receive your name badge and 2 free sets of uniforms. After that, we’ll set you up with live orientation training and department training(s). Live orientation is for all first- and second-year Team Members to become familiar with Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari. The departmental training will be specific to your department. These training days will help you feel more confident with the job and prepare you for operating days. 

Where do I go for training?

Please come to the Human Resources office on the correct date and time of your training. Once you arrive, a member of Holiday World management will instruct you on how to clock in and take you where you need to go!

When can I get my uniform?

The HoliMarket is located inside the Human Resources office and has shirts, shorts, belts, and more to complete your uniform.

The HoliMarket is open on Park operating days: 2 hours prior to opening and 1 hour past closing.
