Homemade HoliWeen – Candy Apples

It’s time to make a new festive treat to go with the Graveyard pudding that we made last week – a Halloween themed Candy Apple.

To get started, here are the ingredients you’ll need.

  • 8 Apples
  • 8 Apple Sticks or Skewers
  • 4 bags of any Soft Caramels
  • 3 tablespoons Heavy Cream
  • Preferred Halloween-themed topping, such as Reese’s Pieces

Now, let’s have Madeline, one of our Food & Beverage Operations Manager, show you how to make a Caramel Apple!

Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own Candy Apples:

  1. Wash and dry your apples.
  2. Press your wooden sticks firmly into the top of the apple. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you can’t do this on your own!
  3. Unwrap caramels and place them in a medium saucepan set over medium-low heat.
  4. Add heavy whipping cream and begin cooking the caramels.
  5. Stir occasionally until the caramels are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  6. Reduce the heat to low.
  7. Dip each apple into the caramel and twist to cover all sides in caramel.
  8. Use any kitchen utensil to remove any excess caramel on the apple.
  9. Roll your apples in your candy toppings until you get just the right amount!
  10. Let apples sit until the caramel has firmed up or refrigerate them for about 15 minutes.

Share pictures of how you decorated your Candy Apples with us on social media using the hashtag #HoliWeenFun.

Let’s Find Holidog’s Halloween Candy!

When Kitty heard that Holidog had lost his Halloween candy (again!) she just knew she had to help him out and find it.

She ventured into Holidog’s 3D Adventure to save the day.

You can explore this brightly colored Fun House with her now – just be careful in the Vortex Tunnel!

We hope you’ll join us on the next Saturday as we celebrate “Lights Out” for the last day of our Digital HoliWeen celebration.

Do You Have An Eagle Eye?

Kitty’s final activity of the day is a test to see if you have an Eagle eye just like her friend George.

She visited a few of our gift shops and found lots of Kitty Claws plush toys. Then she hid them all around the store.

Each picture we took of her has 10 different Kitty stuffed animals hidden around the room. It’s your job to find them!

We have two different difficulty levels.
